Time Crisis 4 is on test now in Japanese arcades using the current-generation System 258 board, a slightly or somewhat souped up PlayStation2 ~ System 246. it's due out in the summer in arcades.

question is, will it be converted with minimal loss in quality to PlayStation2 like Tekken5 was, or, will it be brought over to PlayStation3 with graphical upgrades like what Namco did with PS2 Time Crisis II and Crisis Zone ? You might recall that both TC II (1997) and CZ (1999) used the System 23 family of arcade boards; much more powerful than PS1 but nowhere near as powerful as PS2. Namco significantly upgraded the visuals in the PS2 versions, released years later (2001, 2004 respectively).... I wonder if they'll do the same for TC4 on PS3.
I read that there is a "shooting game" in development for home console. trouble is, I heard that its for PS2 from one place, and for PS3 in another place (i forget where)... or maybe these are two different console games, I'm not sure. but the best guess is that it is Time Crisis 4.
