"Current hardware" can't run that at acceptable framerates. Not at that IQ level.

That EDGE article was the bigges tpiece of crap i've ever read in my entire life. It made me wonder what happened to the good old Edge employees... there must have been something in the Air Conditioning that day....

The entire Edge staff quit their jobs after a conflict with Future Publishing. (something about 'attracting a broader audience/becoming more commercial")
I believe that incident occured at the end of previous year, but that did not influence the production of the magazine: Edge got new Future Publishing staff with or without game experience... As a result of this, the magazine has become really bad IMO.

Ugh, the fall of EDGE is just sad. That scan could just as well have been torn out of any of the rampant UK PS2 mags. It was that bad.

They're... old? I've seen them a couple of months ago, nothing special really. I am sure graphics will look better than that. It's hard to develop games for hardware on which no concrete details are known.

They try to copy the style and such, but they can't replace an entire staff.

Not to completely agree with you on this, but you may be right. My first impression was that next -gen would be able to do that kind of work at peak performance when I first saw the trailer to this game. But,then I changed my mind after thinking about all the detailing it would take to do this kind of work. After looking at Unreal 3.0 and then looking at one of the top PC games,I believe that just may be what we'll be seeing next gen.
