SNES: Stunt Race FX. Not only did it require the external FX chip, it still ran like jerk-o-vision. Contra III or Yoshi's Island are peanuts compared to Stunt Race FX. Contra III in two-player mode would sometimes slow-down and get the disappearing sprite artefacts but SR FX ran slow all the time. Play it in two-player battle and prepare to be declared legally insane. You'd see 20 polys, flat-shaded and still get below 15fps. The SNES just wasn't meant to handle SR FX. My second, distant, choice would be DOOM.

i think both Halo2 & Splinter Cell CT are more taxing than Forza or Riddick on the Xbox.

everytime i play these i wonder how they managed to fit the games on 64 megs

Can you describe the wonders with mere text?

    Is it:
    High VU0 utilization
    Low cache miss frequency
    High CPU instruction pairing
    Low GIF stalls
    Actually keeping the IOP busy
All of the above and more?

What about MGS3 nAo? BTW is there any public info available as to which game pushes most polygons/geometry (peak/average) for each system?

    PS1 - I agree with Quake II

Xbox- GR2 outdoor scenes have a lot of light and shading but I would guess D3 overall. FSW and Fable all push it.
