The Duke Lives?

I'd like to see this game use a similar art style as TF2. Hopefully it comes out before I have arthritis in my hands.

Next-Gen.Biz Podcast Episode 6
Posted in podcasts by ccampbell on October 17th, 2006

3D Realms’ CEO Scott Miller joins us for a revealing discussion on the nature of Prey 2, Duke Nukem Forever’s likely arrival date and why he doesn’t much like Steam or episodic gaming. Really good stuff. Also, we chat with veteran journalist Greg Orlando for a preview of Sony’s PlayStation 3 announcements later this week most especially its online plans. Plus - the next next generation, Jack Thompson’s latest larks and some real reader questions in full glorious audio. Slowly, we’re getting better at this stuff.

That has got to be the worst gig ever. Especially if it ends up flopping.

Not many jobs have zero expectations. It may not look that good on the old resume, but for the non-ambitious it's great job security and you get to work with a new engine every 2 years. There seems to be a mass exodus every couple years also. So you get to meet lots of new people.

hahaha I cant believe this game still exists. I am very curious to see it. The latest trailers of years ago showed some awesome content typical to the Duke Nukem series which I loved :D

that pic has got to be fake. it looks bad anyway.

this game must be a running gag. it's not real.

The picture has been confirmed as real

gama_duke.gif reconfirmed by George Broussard as a real DNF screen shot.

I guess I'll reconfirm what I said last night. That's an in game, real-time shot of Duke standing in a random hallway. It was really done as a small teaser for a job ad on Gamasutra.com. Nothing more.

I'm glad some of you enjoyed it, and we'll show more later as we start to wake from our slumber and decide how best to show the game off.

After all those years, I fail to see how a forum post from Georges Broussard is a confirmation of anything... I mean, Romero assured us Daikatana would definitely live up to the hype, and we all know how that one turned out...

The pic looks really good IMO. It's on par with UE3 games as far as character models are concerned which says a lot.
