The Big Forza 2 Thread *

Not his source, but here is some about the Physics of Forza 1

http://www.oxm.co.uk/features/racing/under_the_hood_forza_motorsport_2_interview

At some point physics calculations are going to run into diminishing returns, Do we even know the competitor rates (GT, GTR, LFS)?

I'm pretty excited about this one! Where is our demo?!?!?

Thx for the source, I stand corrected.

Demo goes to MS certification early next week, hopefully they don't take too long getting it out the door after that.

I'd have to agree that the number of physics updates per second, after a certain point at least, is much less important than the number of variables tracked and the complexity/accuracy of algorithms used. That goes for Forza, GT, PGR, NFS, whatever.

Old, but still oh so good.

Seriously, apart from the low fps on the reflections, the game currently looks better than any other racer out there (yeah, that includes GTHD).

I think this is debatable. This game although looks impressive and one of the best looking racers out there I do not see anything in it that makes it THE best looking racer

I hope they make the reflections smooth or have an option to turn it off (use false reflections instead). I found this quite annoying while playing Forza1 which also had low fps on the reflections.

It kind of looks "PGR3'ish" in these screens.
I think there is too much room for imporvement. They could have made it visually stand out more

Any ideal if they will be giving the pit crews & side spectators some decent A.I.? These guys just look plain damn stupid.

They should look fine at 100 mph. If you can actually see fine details on them you have bigger problems than T10 does...

So if you happened to head towards a crowd at 100mph (poor driver) will the crowd react? Or will they stand there and look sh** face?

Sorry, this is supposed to be next-generation gaming…I want to see smarter A.I. (crowds, pit crews, ETC…) in racing games.

whatever your opinion on how it looks now, the improvements over the last month or two have been somewhat astounding. I know a lot of games end up improving as the polish gets applied, but this one is more of a transformation than mere polishing.... kudos to T10 on that front.

wow....WOW......WOWOW

Suddenly they show us such an unexpected improvement!!!

The difference compared to what it was shown yesterday is HUGE!!!

that was so SUDDEN
