Not played overlord 2 but the first one was funny even though my crappy pc at the time could barely cope with it.

Pretty much. This bundle didn't get me overly excited since I already have Dirt 3 which is about the only game that really interests me. Still I gave them a dollar since it's only a dollar and I should get at least that much enjoyment out of it :)

BTW how do you guys normally split up your Humble payments? I do the default 70/30 dev/tip split that Valve uses on Steam. Don't feel the need to donate to charity since I do that in other ways.

Also does Amazon take a cut when you pay through them? I typically do that since it's already set up and easy to use, but I would like as much of my $$ as possible to go to the devs/publishers and Humble.

The Sid Meier Bundle is up now. I picked it up for six bucks just for Civ5. Civ4 is one of my all time favorites so here's hoping the fifth is as good!

P.S. my Steam library has practically doubled in size from all these Humble bundles.. the ASP for the games in my library must be embarrassing :)

Amazing Stalker offer at GOG weekend promo. All Stalker games on sale! Superb price.

Some people consider this game the best FPS ever, along with Half Life.

The entire series is on sale this weekend at GoG.com . "Run, fools!".

You can purchase all the Stalker games, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl , S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky , and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat for 14$.

I wonder if it will work on my laptop, the only PC I can play it, with a so so Intel HD3000 GPU, although the CPU is fine.

This could go in the sticky thread at the top for sales.
I prefer GOG over the services mentioned in that sticky thread, but the (slightly mundane title doesn't give any indication on news regarding GOG, so I preferred to create a thread to create awareness for this offer.

Yes, STALKER SOC's experience is unrivalled ! THe best game ever played , for me. Like somene here said in B3D once lng back, "I didn't play that game, I lived it !" thats the feeling you get when playing Stalker:SOC, you live it ! THere's no other way to describe the feeling. The gameplay is such that you have to live it, to survive, to move on, the game rivets you in !

Good luck playing it ! I lost touch when I took a break midway, never found my touch again ! Forgot how to "live" in that world. Felt very sad :( as I loved it....absolutely!

Trivia: These guys are making Survarium now.

That's what the "etc" is for. :p

edit:

See, much less elegant title now.
I must admit I am still quite unhappy with the title. Etc and "insert digital service"... can be okay, but my favourite PC gaming site is GoG -I have 48 GoG games- and it is not named anywhere in the title.

Love the Heroes of Might & Magic series above all --among my GoG games.

I definitely purchase the entire collection. For 11€ it is not much. I wonder though if my PC can put on a display, and I can boast about its graphics or if it can render the game well.

These are my settings:

CPU Intel i5-2450M
GPU Intel HD3000
6GB of DDR3 RAM
Hard disk 500GB

I purchased the original Stalker, played it for around two hours, found it extremely boring and complex and gave up.
I don't know if I did something wrong, though. It was quite a few years ago.

I like the concept of GoG and I bought Divinity Dragon Commander (special-something edition) there for full price on release. But then I had to wait 3 weeks more than Steam users for a patch that was needed to solve a game-breaking bug, not to mention the lack of Steamworks patches.

It might be interesting to spend on old and bug-free games, but it's lacking severely in the updates department (which, after being almost one month unable to play my game, I found to be more important than the no-DRM part).
The Witcher 3 should be an exception, since the store belongs to CD-Projekt.

I don't think that's you; I played it for a bit, walked out of town, some weird funky shit on the ground killed me, then some random dogs that appeared out of nowhere (maybe it was really big rats, I don't remember) killed me, then a really large group of extremely hostile soldiers killed me, then a large group of hostile bandits killed me... Well you get the picture. And all of this happened within a radius of ~100-150 meters of the starting camp. IE, what in a nintendo game would be the area where you get to familiarize yourself with the game and your abilities.

Surefire sign of fucked-up gamedesign when you're allowed to die repeatedly still within sight of the starting position. Haven't bothered with a stalker game ever since.

LOL. That's very similar to my Stalker experience Grall. I realize I must have been doing something wrong, but...

I think they expect you to know pretty much everything about the game and how it works before you start, which is weird. It is fun once you get the hang of it.

The game remains tough throughout. Your first hour experience can happen anytime if u stop paying attention to ur food, ur ammo, etc. its not a shooter, its a world where u survive. You don't shoot whatever u see, you hardly have ammo for that.even when you shoot, you stop, peek around the corner n shoot to keep yourself covered. The systems are very well done and very balanced. Its the very opposite of bad game design. Its fantastic game design, but u have to learn the rules and live by them. The rules aren't rocket science either: its a survival game.
