Hope it is. :) Now I just have to find the time to actually be able to play it.

I'm hoping Desktop Dungeons (indie game on Steam) goes on sale as I really want it badly now after playing it over at a friend's house. Might actually have to pay full price for it. :p

Regards,
SB

Thank goodness. I wasn't the only one to find Max Payne 3 terribly difficult on medium difficulty.

Really, the game could be sooo damn frustrating at times. The hordes of enemies were really over-the-top IMO. On some occasions, it felt like playing the last levels of Serious Sam with only a pistol.

Max Payne is regarded as "The pits" i my local circuit. I don't eel interested either. But at that price it can't be that bad. Hmm...lets open up steam.

EDIT: Looks like there is no Max Payne 3 deal in our region :|

I dunno I had fun with it, but maybe that's because I had bought it for around $10 a long time ago and not the typical $60 that gamers pay. Nowadays with so many games available dirt cheap I basically stop playing any game the instant it becomes boring and I delete it, I don't grind or slog through anything anymore. That never happened with Max Payne 3 though, I actually finished it and had fun with it. It's a simple mindless game, but fun. Looked nice at full spec 60fps as well.

Ended up with Tomb Raider and Brutal Legend. TR is making me motion sick. :/

I found Brutal Legend really disappointing. It started really cool, then got weak. Tomb Raider rocks though, finished that one. It's the first game I played that actually made me want a 4k tv.

Aw. I'm really liking the first part of Brutal Legend. :p Ophelia waifu :3

TR: Yeah, I'm playing it on a 6870 @1080p & gamepad. Looks quite nice at times although I ditched DOF & SSAO and set the shadows to low resolution, (textures & shadow quality @ ultra). There's no NewGame+ is there? Not sure I care for the somewhat restricted XP level system. Oh well.

What's up with the motion sickness? Is it a framerate thing?

I thought the game was great and has sweet graphics at least at the highest settings (minus the conditioner of course).

Yeah, but it never went for $4 here. It was $10. Witcher 2 was still $5 when I checked for Max Payne 3.

Btw, whats with the Director's Cut edition of Deus Ex HR? The description tells me nothing! Whats new in it? It is showing me 75% off on it , which it says is because I already own the game + DLC. So why should I spend $5 again, Mr.Steam? Your description tells me nothing!

it removes the yellow filter. also the boss fights are tweaked to be possible for non combat type folks. there may be some other stuff that im missing but those were the major changes iirc.

related to steam sales i picked up last light and tomb raider, theyre both excellent.

Hmm..thnx, might chk out for boss fights, but willrcead up on it first.

Btw, also got Deadlight from the sale. Hope its good.

HD7950 Boost was down to $200 a couple months ago and it came with the 3 game bundle that included Tomb Raider. Best deal I've ever had on a GPU. I have it in a fairly quiet little mini-ITX case :)

Bioshock 2 offered free (With Minerva's Den) on Steam if you already own it

A crosspost:

We wanted to address some important questions regarding the recent update to BioShock 2, which removes Games for Windows Live and implements Steamworks support.

Q: I purchased BioShock 2 on disc or digitally outside of Steam - How do I redeem my copy of the Steamworks version?

  • A: There are a few simple steps to follow to get your Steam copy:
    1. Download and install Steam at http://store.steampowered.com/about/.
    2. Create a user account, or log into an existing account.
    3. Once you have launched Steam and created/logged in to your account, select the Games menu at the top of the window and select “Activate a Product on Steam”
    4. Follow the prompts and enter in your 5x5 (25-character) product activation code that came with your retail copy.

If you have already purchased BioShock 2 through a different digital partner, we’ve got you covered. Simply take the same game activation key you already own and “activate” it within Steam. Doing this will grant you access to BioShock 2, all of its multiplayer and Protector Trials DLC, as well as Minerva’s Den – the single player story-driven add-on that includes new weapons, enemies, and plasmids!
It was verified. Securom is removed.

I always wanted to play Minerva's Den. Hold me over till Bioshock Infinite DLC drops in price.

I bought the game at Best Buy years ago, Steam accepted the code from that box and let me download the game (8.2 GB). I now have all the DLC, including Minerva's Den.

If you bought Bioshock 2 from Steam prior to this development you'll see that you now have all the DLC including Minerva's Den.

Q: I don’t own BioShock 2. What do I get if I buy it on Steam/digitally now?

  • A: You will unlock BioShock 2's base game, and the first three DLC packs (everything apart from Minerva's Den). You'll also have the option to buy Minerva's Den from Steam directly.
