You need to use the beta of the Origin client, that solves the downloading problem.

Where do i get that? I have all the updates applied, is th ebeta some seperate download?

EDIT: OK, updated to the beta version, but the progress bar is still at 0% and it just says downloading, but downloads nothing.

EDIT@: ok, I left it like that for some time , came back and its downloading correctly now ! Phew !

Edit 3: Installed :) ! Just started.Good visuals aethetics wise.

What do you guys think of Grid 2? It's on sale right now, was pondering it but I'm in a bit of a bored of everything phase right now so not sure about trying it, especially when user reviews seem mixed.

Did you like GRID 1?

I didn't get very far in GRID so haven't even considered the sequel.

Yeah I liked Grid 1, user reviews seem to imply that Grid 2 is a somewhat different game though. Like this comment right from a user review on Metacritic: "This isn't like the original GRID at all."

I liked it too
but no cockpit view,
has new "true feel" system that translates to driving aids are allways on and you cant change them, at least they are subtle
based around stupid facebook likes mechanic
worst offender is handling compromised to make drifting easier because drifting is like cool or something

ps: what you looking for in a racing game ?
someone is giving burnout paradise away for free

Yes, the cars drift much too easily in GRID 2, and I seriously hate drifting. I only did 1 drift event the entire game.

Also layout of the events has totally changed. GRID 1 got that about perfect IMO, and GRID 2 isn't terrible in this regard but definitely a step back.

Oh, and you should see GRID 2's take on "endurance" events. :D Are you man enough to handle SIX MINUTES!?

@joker
If you like your racing games on the sim side the I recommend GT Legends (1960's cars) its a proper sim but has driver aids for the arcade racer plus it has bags of charm and its only £4.99 on steam

if your an arcade racer then split second/velocity
or burnout paradise which allnets and lightman are giving away

I was looking for more of Grid 1 actually. I really liked that game when I played it ages ago, and was hoping Grid 2 would have built on that but seems like they went a different direction. I'm not so crazy about extreme sim racing games, I like both arcade style like Grid or Burnout and somewhere in the middle like Forza. I've played just about all racing games out there like Split Second, Need For Speed Shift, etc, was just looking for something fresh. Think I'll wait a bit more, maybe get Grid 2 when it's uber cheap. In the mean time I'll go back to The Cave which is really cool, and Pinball Arcade is due this month as well. I would have grabbed Kentucky Route Zero when it was on sale, but I hate it when all the acts aren't available yet.

I went ahead and got Grid 2, what the heck. I think I've been too spoiled by $5 Steam game sales, to where $25 now oddly seems like an expensive splurge when it comes to games.

Yeah I had played the first Test Drive Unlimited and it was very cool. I passed on the second because I heard bad things about it as well.

Speaking of sales though, just got an email that Metro Last Light is $20, gonna grab that one.
