Bought The Walking Dead, Resident Evil 6 and Dishonored.

RE6...tried it for 10min at it was like the worst game I have ever played :(

Dishonored seems ok-ish, but graphics are booo :(

Did not test out TWD yet...

My rule is that I only buy games I'm sure to play. So when I decided to buy Tomb Raider Underworld for 0,8 Euro, I got a little frustrated seeing it had a new price at 2,24 Euro

Think I'm going for Quantum Conundrum with all the DLC though

Tomb Raider for $12.49. It is a good game, I paid full price and thought it was worth it.

Was wondering about Resident Evil, maybe I'll wait on that one. Dishonored looks weak but it's pretty good, I finished that one. Starts a little slow though. Walking Dead is awesome. I snagged Tomb Raider at $12, couldn't resist at that price even if it won't be maybe 4 months until I get around to playing it.

OMG, I'm really regretting buying LA Noire right now. Freaking stuck at the "synchronizing" screen most of the time. I've managed to get into the game ONCE so far. And it looks like this problem has existed ever since the game came out back in 2011. Rockstar Games couldn't get this fixed in that amount of time? Freaking amateurs.

SB

I'm just wondering if all of Rockstar Games titles are like this? If so, I won't be buying anything from them ever again. I've been using games with always online DRM for over 15 years that don't have this problem. This is absolutely inexcusable.

I bought GTA IV on Steam a while ago and swore afterwards I'd never buy another Rockstar game no matter how good it was. That was just because of the hoops I had to jump through just to play it even after buying the game on Steam.

Ah, ok...now I am curious about TWD! Yeah, Dishonored was good from a gameplay perspective, seems to be good!

The first min of RE6 are awful. Push joystick to make three steps, then press A to open door, push dtick, next animation scene kicks in, push B next animation scene kicks in for several seconds...until you finally get to shoot, but it takes a minute until you press stick forward and A to run through exploding stuff....after this animation scene, which is 'freshed up' by a QTE...I quit the game. I have to read up if it gets better and this is supposed to be the slow tutorial...

Also bought Remember Me...I read the tec post mortem about the rain effects and had to bite.

I guess the trick is to launch the exe of the game as an administrator. My buddy had this problem iirc and this solved it.

Or maybe it is a different problem?!?

Some good buys on just now. Fallout NV is cheap as hell but I was hoping to get it in a Bethesda bundle if there was one. Arma II mega cheap also.

As far as one can tell at this point, yes... we are such fans we bought gta iv for pc despite owning it for x3 already. It never ran... even once. Something about the securom something something was incompatible with our system or summat. Ridiculous.

I've tried literally all the "fixes" on the Steam forums...including running as Admin, etc.
Oh, and make sure you don't try to run in multimonitor.

I just wish I knew why it ran the one time, but had problems running before that time and more importantly after it. Steam integration loads up just fine while on the synchronizing screen, so it can obviously connect to the internet. Guess, I'll go through that wiki that MFA posted earlier and see if anything there helps.

This has got to be the most incompetent DRM implementation I've ever seen and must be tied to their "social club" as that popped up immediately the one time the game actually got past it.

[edit] Well, what do you know, going by that assumption and looking at the list of things to do in the Wiki that MFA posted, deleting ypatcher.exe (Rockstar Social Club thing) from the game directory allows me to get past the synchronization screen. I assume that when you do that it just reverts to the Social Club ypatcher.exe that is installed in program files (x86), yes separate from the one in the game directory. What a clusterf***.
