Sony VR Headset/Project Morpheus/PlayStation VR

hmm, sony need to market their AAA VR games more. Even long running series like Ace Combat 7 is not considered as AAA title for VR according to the response i got on Arstechnica. And its a technology website!

don't let people think PSVR is just a device to play gimmicky small low quality games like most of Kinect games. make people know PSVR have a wide variety of games, just like PS4 itself (from big AAA titles with old series, to big AAA with new IP, to fresh indie games).

Well, look at the Oculus/Vive prices. Oculus games are a bit higher priced even though they do not offer much, while Vive games are cheaper.

We shall see what will be pricing for PSVR exclusives such as Golem, RIGS, Rush of Blood, Wayward Sky, 100ft Robot Golf, SUPERHYPERCUBE, Robinson...

No. Headmaster is a PSVR-exclusive indie game made by Frame Interactive.

There won't be "AAA" VR games much in these early years, the closest thing to it will be cockpit "VR conversions", such as GT Sport.

AAA terms is confusing. What makes rigs and ace combat not aaa in Psvr?

The social element is going to carry PSVR even if their "AAA" lineup is less than typical for a mainstream console. I've had all the HMDs thus far, but it's only now with the Vive that getting people to come over and play VR for extended sessions hasn't been like pulling teeth. All my friends have commented on how watching others play is as much fun as playing it. If there's a Mario/Tetris/Doom/AngryBirds for VR, I'm convinced now it's going to be a party/social type multiplayer title with motion controllers and PSVR is probably positioned best for that on a mainstream level (or Nintendo if they ever get in on this.) I'm currently trying to figure out how to get my Vive into the livingroom as having sofas for spectating seems just as important as having the standing/walking space. Even if launch sales were terrible for PSVR, word of mouth will be plenty enough to get the ball rolling - akin to the success of the Wii.

Aren't those all multiplatform? Or did you mean to say non-exclusives?

It will most probably be some specific VR mode [model viewer, or Rock Climbing section support], not VR support for entire game. Anyhow, no matter what it is, it will be good. :D

Ahh the VR, Very Raunchy edition. Complete with no social screen option for added privacy....I can see that selling surprisingly well tbh.

You might even say a killer a̶p̶p̶ fap

I wonder if some dev will implement custom "PSVR Photo mode" functionality, not only for VR games but for normal games. For example, if I could play Uncharted 4 in Cinematic Mode [vr cinema] and go into photo mode where I can activate "render VR sphere" and capture some cool scene in 360 degree 3D format. It would be even better if the saved [shareable] scene can also allow users to move their head a bit and see 3D objects around them move accordingly.

I think sony can push that feature to 1st and 2nd party studios.

Then after they able to give "best practices" to implement it cheaply and quickly, then 3rd parties will want to join

Wouldn't it be better to have that scene in 3D so you can really look around, even if not move around?

There are non-gaming implementations of this and the drawback is you have to load the original environment for it to work, so if you're wanting to zip through a series of 3D environments it can be really slow.

I'm hoping for a Fighter Squadron mode. I think that would work really well. Hoping ...

Looks like I was right (from the EA video):
