Or PS3 without an HDMI cable in the box, anyone?
I actually did this when I got my PS4.At least the PS3 would plug into a standard HDMI or your old PS2 video lead, hell with PS2 to PS3 you could litterally just switch the console and leave the leads as they were.
Imagine how we will all laugh at those complaints because customer did not see big fat "YOU NEED PS4 CAMERA" text and graphic on the PSVR box.Imagine all the complaints when someone takes it home and finds out they need to buy another pricy accessory
PS4 launched with 26 games.Confusing for gamers except if each game have demo.
So what? People have been happy buying games needing peripherals on consoles, from Eye Toy to Kinect to Rock Band to Wii Wobble Board to N64 expansions to Amiga RAM expansion to Move. Some consumers might be confused. They might grumble. It has no baring on the product and won't adversely affect sales and can't be handled any better - either you have only an all-in-one bundle and people already with camera complain, or you sell pieces and some get confused because they miss a part (although the store should have its own bundle for them if they're competent with sufficient guidance on what version the shopper needs).
IMO, best case scenario:
PlaystationVR games free for every PS4 user [maybe not London Heist/Highway if the game is expanded to have a lot more content]
$199 PSVR headset only SKU
$250 PSVR headset + PS4 camera SKU
$50 Two Move controllers & some free hand-tracky compatible game SKU
I actually did this when I got my PS4.

$200 isn't going to happen. I would put it at $300 minimum.
Yes you can make fun of them but they make up the bulk of buyers.
Fair enough, but there are other examples of games being sold requiring extras not included with the game. Stores will provide bundles even if Sony doesn't. And like I say, what's the issue? Worst case, a few grumbles on the internet. As I've already stated, it's not possible to please everyone because different people with different peripherals will have different requirements when time to buy a PSVR, but it's hardly a complicated, unmanageable situation that'll leave hundreds of thousands of people with headsets and no means to play the games or anything similar drastic*.Its differentt
No! 300 is too much. It has to be 299 or there will be riots. Liberty, Equality, Fraternity or Death!$200 isn't going to happen. I would put it at $300 minimum.
They'll be fine... It's only the bulk of buyers who already chose PS4, so it's the clever ones.Yes you can make fun of them but they make up the bulk of buyers.
Its different
The Kinect is a camera. You didn't bring it home and then find out it also requires a headset.
Rock band was sold with guitars or drum kits in the early editions along with guitar hero.
Kinect was a stand out accessory because of its unheard of attach rate.
What was suggested here is that you sell an accessory that requires another non included accessory. That goes beyond kinect
But it's not. Camera is required. You really just need a big fat bright label with "MOVE CONTROLLER REQUIRED!!!1!1111
But it doesn't work on my xbox......................It requires a PS4.
You really just need a big fat bright label with "MOVE CONTROLLER REQUIRED!!!1!1111" written on it and boom, problem solved. If it is required at all, that is.
Please let's not turn this into another endless "piracy is widespread" kind of discussion.

* This statement is set up to invoke the Gods of Irony, and we'll see a PSVR demand without enough cameras to go around!

but ts normal console game that people already familiar Vs VR games that is new and people on reddit usually say "try it yourself" instead only watching trailers to get to know te gamePS4 launched with 26 games.
1. What makes you think there will be a very limited supply?I think the head set will be very limited however and also expensive.
