Sony PlayStation VR2 (PSVR2)

Hmmm. The video example is really pronounced. Pretty sure OLED screens don't have that intrinsic noise - it'd be obvious on every display, TVs, headsets, phones and tablets. I'd be inclined to say it's a defect.
but did he not actually describe what i was saying? I watched the video just now. And yeah with his unit its much more pronounced than you saw on other through the lense Videos. Your comparision between PSVR2 and other OLED Screen devices such as Tablets and cellphones is not super fitting here because all those Devices might have the same issue but since our eyes are not stuck 2cm infront of it we tend to not see it, i think.

in OLED TVs, those kind of noise are quite common AFAIK. IIRC even RTINGS explains that its basically a lottery.

It's far more noticeable in VR because it moves over a background image in line with your head movements similar to screen door effect. Obviously different headsets, even within the same model will suffer to different degrees.

I have the official Sony charging and this is a criticism. I was expecting alternative chargers, as these appeared for DualShock 4, DualSense, and PSVR Move controllers, but I wanted something compact that would sit on small shelf above the TV.

It does look like some mad piece modern art and everybody who has visited us and spotted them has been intrigued by the new art piece on the shelf.

Thrillseeker finally got his review up, I think he was in Japan do a story on vr in japan when it released but he finally got to it.

I like how he places "no beatsaber" in the same category as "no wireless" and "no standalone" like its a fundamental flaw. He's correct of course. Sony needs to get beatsaber on this, stat.

It was announced before release which surprised me seeing meta bought the devs a while back. I wouldn't have thought it to be a very important release outside of the standalone kits which pull in more of the casual audience, but he knows alot more about the VR space than me so maybe it will shift some psvr2 sets once it releases.

And this seems a perfect time to roll out Home 2 with VR. Incouding making it cross-platform. Sony are fairly well experienced to try and secure that emergent market.
A nice opportunity here for you and others to put their indies back into a VR environment as arcade cabinets. It was an interesting concept and I think Home 2 would work where @Home 1 failed.

Look at that dopey expression. You could at least post some text with your social media feed.

I've been reading about how the Reverb G2 is apparently noticeably sharper. Exciting! That means the 2019 Reverb G1 is too because they are pretty much the same visuals.

probably v2 version as it has 4320 x 2160 (2160 x 2160) resolution and from what I found smaller fov (100) and smaller fov helps to make it sharper

Hopefully they have considered a future release and can make backward compatibility work.

What games besides GT7 and RE8 have you guys been playing ?
