Were these HDR enabled because they look quite washed out.

HDR is on. It could be how MSI Afterburner captures shots. I should have used the game's photo-mode instead. The games has a lot of nice lighting features/options that look nicer when running, than actually captured.

I really cant put my finger on it, but I'm never overly impressed by CP2077 even with all the latest graphical goodies. It just looks very cartoonish and nothing really sits as well in the world as I expect. I know it's technically a last-gen game, but I think those roots show. I'm still more impressed by games like Horizon Forbidden West and Plague Tale Requiem without any ray tracing at all.

No offense to any of the photographers here of course, the shots here are still great to look at.
 
Is it all set at night ?

ps: In 2008 Humus (used to be a member here) released a demo called Interior Mapping
Interior mapping is a technique that renders the interior of buildings without requiring additional geometry. Everything is done in the pixel shader. The advantage is that when you're rendering large cities you can draw all those buildings as simple boxes.

Ahh, I wondered if they were going to set it at night as it justifies not being able to enter buildings (like shops) if indeed you cant enter buildings.
 
Alan Wake 2

SDR, all effects activated, no enhancements, no color or sharpening changes etc.
No camera mode, just in-game. Therefore a mostly similar character pose.

All images are compressed from about 20 MB to less than 0.8 MB. I would also recommend this to others.
