No the demo isn't limited to 1024

XBit Labs uses blue to indicate 1024, and sloppily didn't seem to indicate this on the page.

From other reviews it's apparent that FEAR is death to high-end GPUs.

Although I don't have much hope it'll get that much better in the end it's still a pre-release demo. I'm still having thoughts on whether to download the latest patch for BF2. I had to re-install that one because for reasons only the patch and driver knows memory leaks were even more horrendous with the 1.02 patch then out of the box...

On a less serious note I guess some developers would be better off releasing half a dozen patches before the final game ....on a more serious and irrelevant of how long or short shaders are, there's always been a very specific reason why I had and have a weakness for CroTeam's work.
