PSP Impressions

Re: Number of ICs in the PSP

Perhaps the fact that there are two big chips soldered to the PCB? :?

I think it's just pure curiosity as to what that second chip is for, if not performing functions the presented single-chip should cover,

The fact that there is more than one chip in a device, even a highly integrated device, doesn't mean much. And "should cover"? Wrong language there/ That's making an assumption and what they did wasn't inquire, it was accuse. They should have said, there's this second IC whose traces are curious.. anyone know what it is? But no, not here.

You're no better Vince, you could've just said that, instead of feeling the need to valiantly (and rudely) spring to Sony's defense.

Thanks McFly. BTW how many brightness steps are available on PSP in battery mode? Also is normal = 50% brightness? Just curious.

Pc-Engine, your posts are really frustrating to read.

When a car thief sees a car with an alarm, he just moves on to another car that doesn't have one...

What exactly is smoke and mirrors?

Promising one thing then not delivering?

7.1 ch sound

single SoC

better than PS2 graphics on PSP

I could go on and on, but I think you get the point

Now back to topic. Does anyone know how much PSP games will cost in the US? Will they be $50?

Any chance you would be so kind and start a PSP thread of your own PCE?

You could call it PSP vs DS vs Promises Broken

Yes, it would be good if a thread named "PSP Impresions" could be kapta at impressions from people that have actually used one.
"Impressions" based on screenshots and assumptions really don't count, they are just waste of space, make the thread difficult to follow for those that are looking for those first impressions based on first hand experience, and should be in a thread of their own.

PC-Engine, you do know how to make a new topic, I've seen topics created by you.

The PSP has four brightness levels, the obvious three (battery mode) and an extremly bright one if the PSP is connected to the AC adapter.

Just weeding out the fluff so I can get some real information about PSP.

Cool thanks. So in battery mode 50% brightness would be step #2.

Create a PSP info thread without fluff instead of bitching about size, pictures and brightness for several pages.

Are the memory stick and hold button indicators on the front face of the PSP little LED lights or just "fake" round paint indicators?

Mmmm there is NO way that skin could look that smooth, those eyebrows that high, those cheeks so high and full of life, that forhead frown-lines free... Plus, botox in his lips, look at that pout!!!

That is the standard Berlusconi Facelift.
