[PS3] Killzone 2

I got the 1.21 update just now. Then I couldn't join any online games ... maybe the update really just got out and I can't join with people still playing 1.20?
 
Sorry! While I was online for a short time, I was occupied in a short closed session with a friend and got offline just after 22:00. I will definately be online tonight though - probably even from around 19:00 on (until around midnight), but will have a break in between to cook some dinner.

BTW: Didn't have any problems joining games - though by the time I got online, the 1.21 update was the first thing I had to do. I assumed that everyone playing with older updates would habe been disconnected?
 
At the moment... yes. :oops:

At times, I may be out with friends/gf and not online, but if I am, chances are I'm either playing KZ2 or catching up on my series *cough* 24, drhouse *cough* or listening to music.

Either way, usually online Mo-Fr 18:30-00:00 (CET/GMT+2) and on weekends, on/off depending if I'm out or have visitors over, but most usually in the evening 'til morning.
 
Ouch, 6:30pm CET is 9:30am PST. No wonder deepbrown was barely awake when we invited him to KZ2. :)

Looks like I may need to sign up with Kittonwy's clan instead.
 
patsu, where are you from? I see you online quite a bit? Or was that just good luck? Either way, it just needs a few souls on either side of the pond without a life for it to work... :D

It looks like the cat's out of the bag: yes, it's now possible to play as Visari in the Killzone 2 multiplayer mode. Several players spotted the Helghast head honcho online following the v1.21 update, and the Internet has been rife with speculation since.

I'm in California.

I leave my PS3 on during office hours (It's on my office desk :p).

You caught me last Sunday with my kid. That's rare. Usually my family would be outdoor during weekends. Last Sunday was special because I decided to take a short break from life. It was whole-day Everyday Shooter competition between my wife and me, LBP in Shifty's level, and just a little KZ2 (Not family friendly :().


I used to play Resistance with EMEA and Fast East folks about 2-3 days a week because I stayed up often.

The easiest way is to identify a non business hour play time, I'll shuffle my schedule to accommodate. I'm trying to do that for tha_con's Resistance's clan now.

EDIT: I thought that Visari news is an April Fool joke ?
 
I have conquered Elite difficulty now.

I wonder what will come next. A DLC expansion of some kind, or a full blown sequel. Can't wait to see the story progress.

I know what you mean. I think the biggest problem with the clan will be finding enough people online at a given time. I was hopefull that with the KZ2 Clan, we would find enough people to accomondate both US and Europeans needs. Or at least, with a bit of flexibility, schedule something doable on the weekends... at the moment though, it seems a bit like a one-man-show at times... ;) but hopefully, things will pick up as people complete the SP and start getting into the MP and join our clan!

Only time will show though. On weekends, I should be fairly flexible though.

That's why a large forum clan like GAF is great. They can set up a unified warzone and it should be filled usually. If it gets full, they can always start another one.

Thanks Phil, finally we got some serious playtime together (and against each other ;) ). 2 against 2 was more fun than I thought also. And even 2 against 1 was fun for a while. :D
 
I played against Phil in a 2-vs-1 Warzone for a short moment. I was the lone Helghast soldier. Got thrashed by both of 'em. Fortunately, more people came in and the game balanced out. I caught him writing XMB messages to deepbrown or me twice. Wasted him in no time :p. Actually, I fired on sight and couldn't tell what he was doing until too late.
 
Yeah it was fun indeed. Glad you joined. I have to say, it's way more fun when you're playing a group of people you know - 2 vs 2 or 4 vs 4 etc. Perhaps I'm hopefull that the clan might bring us more games like that and be able to team up together. If we could get a few players together, we could play our first clan match (received an invitation/challenge, can be a 4 vs 4). Without having all our classes/2nd abilities though, it might be a bit tricky playing a few maxed out generals from another clan... :smile:

I realized the hard way how effective two bots set up for cross-fire can be, even in a small match like that.

That last game was catastrophic btw :oops: I think I'll be checking out the smaller games tonight, see if they are any better/more strategic. Or find some more games with more people but with all missions, not just the body count objectives.
 
I was on for 2 hours (3:30am now). Wanted to try the new chat but didn't see any of you. Jaeyden was (still is) too busy creating new LBP level. :)
 
Might want to send your PS3 in for a check-up. The Blu-ray drive might be failing.

EDIT: People are starting to set up KZ2 specific clan chatrooms in 2.7 now :)
 
Text of course, since it's now built into 2.7 :)

From my experience, even if you don't type or don't have a keyboard, watching all the chat messages that fly by can be very funny -- as long as your party has some joker(s).

I don't know whether people realize it... now if the GAF forum server is down for maintenance, I suspect some people who go to the GAF chatroom to find their buddies to pass time.
