[PS3] Infamous

Now that you have given it a try a few times................is it FUN (for you)?

I thought the earlier gameplay vids were OKay, but the demo ones are looking really good on youtube ........What are your impressions?

Also, I find Superhero games too fast for me, is this one manageable? How would you compare it to other Superhero games (Speed wise) ?

In December, I played Infamous for the first time and told you that it was awesome. Five months later, I'm standing by that statement and backing it up with about 30 hours of playtime. Cole's powers are cool, the graphic novel cutscenes are stunning, the story is intriguing, and the city is alive. I could go on and on about this game -- about my hunt for the final few Blast Shards, about the sick joy in blasting a pedestrian and then sucking his bio-energy, about the subtle Sly Cooper references -- but to truly appreciate what Sucker Punch has created, you'll have to sit down and play this game.

9.5 Presentation
This city is alive and you'll feel like you're a critical part of it from start to finish. The easy to upgrade powers, story-expanding Dead Drops, and more wrap you up in the experience.
8.5 Graphics
The city looks great with its destroyed buildings and people dying in the streets. Cole's powers dazzle at times, but there is some pop-in, repetitive environments, and framerate dips.
8.5 Sound
The soundtrack is great, the ambient noise of the city makes you feel like you're there, and the sound effects are solid. Still, why is Cole's voice soooo gravely?
9.0 Gameplay
Cole's powers are stunning and fun, but the real joy is zipping around the city and unraveling the story. I could've gone for a few more enemy types and better Stunt explanations.
9.5 Lasting Appeal
It took me about 25 hours to go through both storylines, but I've put in a total of 30 hours searching for Blast Shards and my Platinum Trophy. All that, and this still isn't old.

I got sidetracked into PJ Monsters, thanks to my wife poking around my game collection.

Haven't played the demo a second time yet.

The level is challenging enough to make things somewhat interesting, which is good. No show stopper so far. I just think that the earlier videos were too repetitive, so much so that I thought the real game would be repetitive too. In the demo, you'll need to explore a little bit to find simple game objectives, and also eyeball where your enemies are (or have moved to) to avoid certain death.

If I can't get back to the demo by Thursday, it's probably too late for me since I'd be travelling. The game will be out late May right ?
 
Can anybody share the demo with me, please ?
I am moving from tomorrow, and my ps3 will be online only for today, I could download from someone's account and then logout and play offline.

I know its an intrusion, but if someone is okay for not logging into his account for sometime, it can be worked out :???: !

The demo will be out for everyone Next Thursday. Not too long to wait :p

Yea ! Thanx to you too, I had not thought you guys would be so OK about it.

Here in our local forums people already have game sharing teams, so those guys don't oblige a one-off request. I don't become a part of those groups coz then u have to buy stuff that you don't want to also, as it is shared with all. I always wanted to buy Quest for Booty in a shared way to minimise cost but can't find someone to share it with.

BTW: Does anyone know if I have to stay logged-in or can I just leave after the download has begun. Is it activated later-on?

The account will be activated once you begin the download, so you can switch off. You have to wait until it's installed before you go into account management and deactivate the acount.

Demo's do not require that the account be active, so once you deactivate his acount, you'll still be able to play it just fine :)
 
No, I meant now that the download has started, can I log out from patsu's account. When it completes, will it run fine from my account or do I have to run it once from patsu's account or something?
Poor patsu won't be able to access psn till then, thats why I am asking.
 
I think you can switch account, the background DL will finish no matter who is logged in. The game will run as long as you have the guest account info, you don't need to log into it to play.

Ya ! Thats what I was thinking too. I guess I'll log out and let patsu use his account.

Either way, make sure you deactivate his account :)

Edit: Spec, I don't have any codes or activations to share currently, but I think in the future I'll make it a point to make a new account so I can share exclusive demo's with folks :)
