PS3 hits Best Buy October 20

I'm pretty sure this is fake. There's no way I believe PS3 demo units will be in US stores October 20. It's too early and console companies are extreme slowasses whenever possible. Demo units will more likely be up perhaps Nov 10 (yes I'm serious)

Sorry I'm a bit bitter Oct. 20 just sounds to good to be true, and imo it is.

Not show it playing BD movies... but have a stand next to the display area selling them. Gotta go for maximum tie-in afterall!

Anyway well I'm happy to believe this thing, but if it's proven false, no big deal. I'd love it if I could check it out as soon as October 20th though!

well they're going to sell every single one they can make up to about 8-10 million so if anything it's just to reestablish the brand name for next year in the shadow of a looming X360 and a 2007 MS price reduction.

 

I was still hoing against hope that it was included. The fact they went quiet kinda stumped that idea, but it means Eyetoy won't be standard and won't be available for every game to rely on, really cramping it's usefulness and probably adoption

Checking IGN, EOJ is out Nov 11th in Japan. My guess is this 2 motnh delay is when EOJ is released, so EyeToy is probably a pack-in with that game. Not sure that's the right game to encourage adoption of the camera (outside of Japan!)

 

Well I never expected it to be bundled with the ps3, its probably an expensive accessory sony will love to make some profit on. That said, I was really hoping it to be available at launch. And As you said shifty, I guess this means EOJ wont make launch either if this is true. Of course, what are the chances of the eyetoy showing up before its put into kiosks and demo setups?

I really can't wait to see what type of setup they make....Can't wait to try out the PS3 first hand.....BB will be my new home after the 20th
