ps3 graphics with 480i games..really disappointing

Looks perfectly fine to me. Did you update your firmware? There has been a firmware update recently that fixes the backward compatible game image quality.

That info is old. This was already fixed in the 1.50 firmware release.

The thing that is more hilarious is that if you click the link to the thread referenced in the article/blog the op is talking about it tells you the issue is fixed.


Oh yeah, something else of note:

It's not cables, it's a horizontal scaling issue.

This news is ancient; PS2 backwards compatability has been corrected as of firmware 1.5, and this issue was discussed for months beforehand.

C'mon Ant1Fanb0y... I thought you would've been keeping track.
