PlayStation Plus.

Can anyone say if it is like Live Gold, where you pay the subscription for each account, and not for one subscription for the whole console?
I haven't really seen anything being mentioned about that

I have no idea how Live Gold works, but it looks like I can play the free Wipeout HD from my son's account.

I can play Fat Princess from his account with the discounted DLC also.

It's almost certianly per account shared on the same console, same as other content. So whatever you gain access to via PS+, you can use on your PS3, other can use on your PS3 logging in on a different account, you can use on someone else's PS3 where you have your account set up on it, and other users of that other PS3 can use your content.

Which suggests the idea of a group buy, a group of friends getting together to pay for someone to subscribe and the others download the same content to their PS3s...

it's much like the current setup in that anything you buy is usable for any accounts on the machine (I assume that was the question?)

the sub accounts won't have the 'plus' but can use the content, I have also downloaded the minis to my sons PSP...and I'm 99% sure they will work with all PSPs linked to my PS3

Wish Sony would improve the management tools they have for accounts. My wife's account was set up as a sub account at first, which has certain limitations. By the time I figured that out, she had enough trophies that it wasn't going to work to just create her a new account.

Just wondering since its been more than a week since I visited the forums for the last time, does PLUS also offer the cross gaming chat they were talking about?

No :)

On the other hand, I am very much still on the fence in regards to PSN+.
It still hangs on the point that Sony will pick what gets discounted and when, so unless they discount or make available for free stuff when its released on PSN, I feel I am better of with the current setup, ie buy what I want when I want it.
Also knowing that we would have DD releases available of BD games when they are released, ie all of them not what ever Sony selects or old games like LBP and Infamous, I would probably signup. Even though I think I should not have to pay subscription fee to be able to buy their games as DD.

Ohh I got 4 people on my friends list that got the + beside their name, I got 40 people on it.

Yah that's annoying. Another annoying thing is that subaccounts arent able to use the picasa integration for the photo album :???:

I could have sworn that + users would be able to download PSN games as a "trial" for 30 minutes. Is that not correct?

One hour trial for select DD games, which can be big former BD releases (Infamous) or smaller PSN games.

Well, I have decided NOT to sign up for PS+. There's just not enough incentive IMO. I don't care for the free content, since I already own it anyway and I don't like the idea of getting stuff for free that's limited to the duration of my subscription. Then I'd rather pay for it and have the illusion of somewhat "owning" what I bought.

Since there aren't any features tied to the service yet and I still have to endure that stupid ticker top-right, no thanks.

Maybe once they've outlined what features will be offered and if there's a real benefit besides content for those that think it's great.
