It's 10 mins but I'd like you guys to offer some suggestions with my play of Genji. I see that I get killed because I'm focusing too much on one player and either a turrent or another player wipes me. Urrghh.
Sure.
So genji is all about back line removal. Things you should know about him before I get into things I notice you don't do that you should be doing.
A) his blade slash refreshes entirely anytime it shows "any type of kill" in bottom middle of the screen. So assists count etc.
B) the blade slash works much like a MOBA based ability would work:: everything you fly through In a particular arc will get hit and take damage. You want to like guys up to hit multiple times.
C) deflect works on just about everything except for Ray based guns
So let's get into it. Genji doesn't have a lot of health his role tiven his mobility is support and defence removal. Tanks are an issue for him generally because he cannot kill them fast enough as they can tank more damage he can burst and he's stuck waiting for his abilities to cool down.
So you need to be running around the map and taking advantage of your climbing and jump slashing into areas that people don't see your attack vector to come from.
Then from there look for squishy people and slash them down in the fastest way possible. Rinse and repeat and avoid enemies head on as much as possible.
If you do run into them head on that is why you have deflect. I should call is reflect actually. Anyway. Turrets and bastion kill themselves when you reflect all their bullets back to them. Just be sure to be aiming st the turret for the reflect to happen.
Reflect, reflect, teflect!!
Next your ultimate usage. So same type of thing the only difference wbtween using your ultimate and not using it is that you are now capable of killing tanks. Because even if your abilities are in cool down your sword is not. So swing kill someone. Blade slash. Swing kill someone blade slash. If you aren't using blade slash and reflect. You are going yo have a tough time contributing to your team and also having a good time with genji.
A good genji is hard to master. It takes a lot time and myself included don't play it well. There's nearly a sixth sense that needs to happen but the general strategy is laid out. Kill the supports and squishies.
