Well, since this pack includes PGR4 (18.99) and a ChatPad (27.99) with a regular 12 month subscription (40), it was a no-brainer for me... 58.50 instead of 86.97 for those bits purchased individually.

Nice find! I think those will take care of 4 people on my gift list this year. $235 and half my shopping is done.

No but you can easily "paint" it like I did...

I used Flat Black Dupli-Color Vinyl & Fabric Coating. Got it at a local automotive parts store. I have more photos if you want.

It started with Walmart on Saturday. Amazon followed. BTW, for Amazon it was a one day deal. However, from what I've heard Walmart was doing it until stock ran out. Some sites also say the deal is good until this Friday or Sunday. Haven't checked my local ones since Saturday though.

Walmart is still selling the XBox360 Arcade for $199 with a $100 GiftCard. I picked one up late yesterday. The sales clerks and managers dont seem to know about it or mention that it's still going on. However, during checkout the register prompts them to scan a gift card and puts $100 on it.

I'd be very surprised at a redesigned XB360 incoming, as we haven't heard any rumours, and this gen secrets can't be kept. I don't expect a redesign without Natal launching.

Yes especially sony have been notoriously terrible at keeping secrets, but I think the wii pricecut was kept well hidden

Yes MS has also been good, but would a redesign at natals launch make sense (theyll get enuf hype already with natal) not to mention it cant be much longer afterwards that the next xbox will show up, 12->24 months. i.e. it doesnt make sense to do a make over relatively just before a new console sees the light of day.
Natal OTOH does make sense near the end of the xbox360's lifecycle since it give MS an idea wether or not to included natal in the next xbox version

why wouldn't they just do both. I'm sure if they want to compete for motion control fans they will need to get the system size down also. The wii is tiny and many people don't midn ahving it in their living room. The 360 is what 4 or 5 times the size ?

If they can combined the chips for holiday 2010 on 32nm then I see a smaller 360 in the cards . Would make alot of sense .

Looks like if you want an old-style 360 with a 250gb drive for cheap, you're in luck. Best Buy is going to permanently drop the FFXIII & Splinter Cell bundles to $300 starting August 1. Probably a good thing in my area since there are loads of them that haven't sold for a month. $300 is not bad for 250gb, 2 controllers & a free game.
