NVIDIA GF100 & Friends speculation

So the Unigine benches look legit, which brings us to that rumor of a while back, concerning the GTX 470's price of $299. If it is true, then it's not that bad, although from a performance perspective, it seems to be poised for disappointment (still waiting for actual game benches with proper drivers to confirm that).
There were also rumors it would be launching at $499. If that is true, it's sort of is that bad. ;)

Looks correct to me. The texture map is simply being stretched. You can clearly see the stretch marks on the big stone blocks, and the tiles have the same stretchy thing going on.

Jawed

Even if the closer roof could be explained by bad angle (which it imo still can't), the next roof isn't far enough not to get tesselated, and there's no tesselation going on there

There is no question that something is dorked with the roof tile tessellation both up close and in the distance. Is there a Quincunx approach to tessellation here?

Serious or sarcastic? I'm having an argument with someone:

If you have been waiting for Fermi, Geforce GTX 480 and GTX 470 and you really want to spend some 600€ / $600 for a high end graphics card, you better be ready to buy it on March 26th.

Despite the fact that Nvidia will have a massive volume launch with thousands of cards available in Europe and USA, they might easily sell out in matter of hours.

People close to Nvidia believe Fermi cards will sell like hot cakes and that there will be huge demand for them as soon as they launch. The reason is quite obvious a single GPU Geforce GTX 480 will end up faster than any Radeon HD 5870 card and in some new games, the advantage will be significant. In some games Radeon might end up faster or very close, but in the big picture Nvidia’s big chip is going to win.

My bad , Tessellation IS WORKING , look at lines inside the green circles :
they would be flat if tessellation is not working ..
