Four lanes of PCI-Express 4 would mean raw bandwidth upto 8 GB/s.

Layer compression on-top of that for theoretical higher bandwidth throughput numbers.
They say sequential reads of 3700 MB/s in the youtube video, not 8000 MB/s.

So uh, do we have a rumor that is turning out a bit more credible? Which one mentionned the 5019 first?

I'm saying bandwidth available (not measured bandwidth), each lane in PCI-Express 4 is 2 GB/s, multiply by 4 and you have upto 8 GB/s.

So uh his resume is only listed through August 2019. Would they have finalized storage systems by that time or is that just another 'dev kit' thing?

At least it's not 2 Lane PCIE 3 like some were saying.

That chip is tiny, and we can see no supporting hardware around exept some power regs. This is going to be very close in BOM to just the cost of the NAND. Putting two of those in 512GB capacity might even be less expensive than the big 5018-E18 with 1TB?

So Series X is using E19 (3.7GB/s), is Sony using the same one too?
We speculated Sony using faster one, but apparently on the 17/01 Phison told Chinese news that Sony, contrary to reports, hasnt made an order for their controller.

It might mean exactly what they said and they havent made an order, and wont. But could als be smart lawyer talk and they ordered it now. Phison saying they have their controller in consoles, while showing PS4Pro render is cheeky...

Could be Lockhart!
