Next Gen Consoles will use <insert format here> media!

Caddys are great, at my old school we used to use them for our Mac's and they worked fine.

Now they can be more perminent (fixed spindel) you don't have to worry about scratches or dust meaning you get the advantages of a cartridge system without the disadvantage of low storage space.
 
Can we have an optical media which is reselient and tuff....I hate when CDs get scratched and becomes useless!!!

Sure, but if the drives can still read them then who cares? I don't use them as vanity mirrors :D

Pickier drives tend to trip over microscratches more than larger ones, at least to my experience. Plus those little scratches build up over time.
