3rd Party demo none the less.

Man... We need a next gen Destruction Derby!

I suppose burnout is sort of like that, but destruction derby has a special place in my heart and a next gen version would be an instant buy (unless it was horrible, somehow).

Good to see a third party demo though...

Not really excited about the content, more excited about what the content is. 3rd party demo is definately nice to see. I'm wonder what other movie trailer(s) might come as well.

A Q-bert game as well : http://ps3.ign.com/articles/765/765315p1.html

Sony Online Entertainment announced today that a "timeless classic" would be hitting its PlayStation Network in the near future. Joining the ranks of other downloadable content next week will be the loveable snout-nosed critter, Q*Bert.

Q*Bert is being retooled for his PlayStation 3 debut to support resolutions of up to 720p. Now players can experience Q*Bert in all his high-res glory. Furthermore, Sony will be implementing worldwide online leaderboards for the games. This will allow gamers to post and compare their high scores to compete for the rank of "Supreme Noser."

Q*Bert will be available for download from the PlayStation Network on February 22 for a suggested price of $4.99.

And before someone else does it : its only at 720p? Obviously 1080p is a pipedream.

Full Auto 2 at 1080i is a trainwreck, turning it down to 720p makes the game much smoother.

I'll have to try that, was running it at 1080p. Looked pretty nice (for a sega game *cough*), but the framerate was a little iffy.

They BETTER not f**k with the sound effects.. I still remember the joyful sensations of satisfaction gained from hearing those quirky, strangley hypnotic plonking sound effects in all that Atari 8-bit glory! :D

As long as they don't expect to flogg the game for an extortionate amount then it should be worth a look..

:D

Wow! I just tried Full Auto 2. I have to say that this is a bad bad game. The worst PS3 game I have tried myself.

Technically it has lots of problems. And gameplay wise it just too hyper for me to enjoy it.

The cars are obviously moving 5x faster than what the spedometer says it is. so 100mph is actually more like 500mph. At 1080p the games frame rate is unforgivably bad. Frame rate is low and is even has textures pop up issues. I changed my settings to 720p still the frame rate is not great but at least textures don't pop in. If they knew they had a frame rate problem they should not have made a game where you travel 1000mph! They should have made it a slightly slower game. You can't even enjoy the fact that the environment is destructable because you only see 2 seconds of the destruction animation and then you have already moved on past it.

The game even has sound stuttering issues. And even the game menus can't manage 30fps! I can now imagine why the game took so long to show up on PSN. Sony probably did not want this atrocity associated with their product!

After playing racing games like RR7 and GT that are moving at a silky smooth 60fps - this game is a bad joke.

Agreed, Full Auto 2 is horrible. I downloaded the demo last night and played it for around 5 minutes. I have the game from a GS bundle, but I haven't opened it -- I think I'll just try to trade it in.

Hmm. I'll pass on this one then. How come the majority of games/demos out on the ps3 thus far seem to be racing games anyway?
