11. How do I save my Playstation2 Memory Card information to Playstation3?
To use saved data on a Playstation 2 memory card, you must copy the data onto a virtual memory card within the hard disk. This requires a PS2/PSone memory card adaptor to copy the data to your Playstation 3. A memory card adaptor is designed to edit, up/download game saves to and from EMS flash card or smart media card.
Any US buyers should after a while sue Sony for advertising the console as having actual intelligence, following XB360 owners suing MS for not providing experiences like lucid dreams. Will Nintendo alone avoid the PR companies' nonsense? Or can we expect mad hyperbole from that camp too? And where are PR compnaies going to be in 5 years time? They've exhausted all the hyperbole possible. I guess they'll just start stringing more and more adjectives together. With this increased power, game developers can create games that shift artificial intelligence to actual intelligence. Breakthroughs in fidelity, believability, and hyper-reality enabled by the raw power of the Cell processor provide limitless experiences.
It'd have been nice if they allowed a USB linkup. Still, one adaptor could be shared around a number of friends, or picked up cheap off eBay after it's been used. It's not like people will want to hang onto them.Bad_Boy said:Ah I missed that, sounds like good news to those complaining about losing their saves.
Hope the adaptor isnt too expensive.
I have a feeling it will be USB, and not just a converter from ps1/ps2 MC to smart media card. I might be mistaken but wouldnt that cut out the $500 dollar ps3 buyers if it were not USB?Shifty Geezer said:It'd have been nice if they allowed a USB linkup. Where's a *barf* smilie?
Both solutions include Blu-ray the latest standard in high-definition video, Bluetooth, four USB ports, 1080p video, and the world’s most powerful microprocessor, the Cell. Additionally, the $599 solution includes HDMI, memory stick, secure digital and compact flash readers, Wi-Fi, and a 60GB hard disk drive (HDD), the $499 system comes with a 20GB HDD.

dodo3 said:It's standard for the $599 version. Or did you want to pay that extra $100 for only a Wi-Fi card?
darkblu said:how about wifi being standard across the models?
apparently if you don't need the HDMI then wifi will come at a $100 premium for you. thanks a lot.
mckmas8808 said:Well actually you also get 40 extra gigabits of hard drive space with that WiFi. And why is this hurting you so much? Do you find 40 extra gigs not worthy?
