New Fifth Phantom Saga footage

i noticed the stutter in both the videos. shows the difference between kojima and others, graphically its not as good as other ps3 movies
 
The second movie is probably more interesting, well if you have Japanese anyway ;) Seems to be a technical runthrough of the demo.

Anyway, an improvement over E3, definitely. You can see the main character for the first time also. Still not sure how the "summon your monster buddy" mechanic will play out.
 
Reasonably impressive, well relative to the E3 showing. At least they've moved it out of those boring tunnels lined with crates. After MGS4 it's gonna take a BIG game to really impress people.
 
According to the realtime demo, the blue "energy pipe" you see in the first scene is realized by self-illumination + effect shader. Clouds are realtime generated. In the next scene, with tangent space normal map and parallax map, you can enjoy tens of millions of polygons. In the next scene, every soldier will have nice AI, the commentator says. In the next scene, the fire covering a soldier is done by shader, and blur efect is also possible. In the next scene, ambient ocllusion and image-based lighting are used to show spacial effects that look like radiosity. The Phantom character has 8 million polygons information in its textures.

No disrespect to any developer but if technically brilliant gfx (at least in comparison to this gen) are gonna be possible from the very start I hope people pay attention to more important stuff.
