Motorstorm on the PS3 will NEVER look like the E3 2005 CG *scripted movie* NOT going to happen. would probably take 20 PS3's. each rendering 1/20th of the data to produce this CGI(and it would run 1-2 fps)........PS4 will probaby be 4x the PS3 with 4gigs mem and 8 cells(64 spe's) and it will take 5 PS4's to render this CG.....PS5 will be 50-60cells x 20gigs mem and it might run that cg @10fps(scripted).........but thats another conversation..............:)

That said, I think MotorStorms Graphics are excellent and I can't wait to play it.

If you seriously think that a PS4 will use 8 cell's, i suggest you stop smoking that weed. No developer is going to want to develop on something like that.

Im also curious on what your basing your 4x number on...

I saw this in a thread on GAF and couldn't tell if people were being sarcastic or not, so I'm not surprised to see the same problem here. That shot with the mud is not that good.

Also, where's mckmas? He was the first one, many, many months ago to point out the issue with "shine" in next gen games. That mud has way too much shine.

 I actually find that patch unsightly. Need to see it in first or third person view. Or may be experience it in-game.

For some bizarre reason this game is reminding me more and more of that long lost (9 years!) game powerslide.

Dunno why. Probably the excessive use of brown.

the new shots from ign are simply breathtaking and ever closer to the trailer imo. wonder wat steroid guys Evolutions are injecting, the game never stops progressing. and one thing i noticed from the new shots is the texture seems alot more sharper than before.

I think the ruts certainly are. They look properly deep and squishy. I don't know what else people will want.

As for shiny-shine, if the mud is that wet, it would be! The shine is only added to wet (and shiney) surfaces, and isn't all over the place like the real shiney-shine problem (shiney tree, for example).

What is a disappointment is the dust. You can see the particle texture. They need to get Warhawk's volumetric clouds going!

It looks very good in a 400*300 video. Obviously very different from seeing the real thing at 1280*720.

Looks good. And looks like the vehicles are capped at 20 km/h or so.
