This will be interesting if they can add this option to Live. Atleast give the option to turn it on or off. I'm sure some parents would feel comfortable with such an option. I'll be curious to how quickly we'd see something like implemented for Live. You know it's coming and for many, it'll be a good option.

Haha, this is actually pretty funny. But I'm sure the 'thugs' will figure out the way to get around filters -- who knows, we may see the birth of new, more ridiculous forms of swearing, the spoken equivalent of 1337-speak.

I don't think that would happen unless they implement the feature to be "always on" rather than opt in. But most likely it would be opt-in or at least only automatically on in the family type online environments.

If this is allways turned on, you might aswell just get rid of your headset as the only thing you would hear is BEEP BEEEP BEEP BEEP when playing popular games on XBL.

All the more reason why 8player group chat will be a great addition.

nice addition but I cant see it working well techincally.
A-will not censor all words + will censor some wrong ones
But surely there exists already the ability already to turn off personX's voice for whatever reasons, language/irritating voice etc

Yes, it's easy to mute video & audio of any player.
