Hell...I didn't know that you didn't have to use an official MS Wireless Adapter for the 360 - thought they had other usb options disallowed by design. Good news considering I've been through three broken wireless-G adapters (or wonky ones anyway) - nice to know you don't have to use their garbage hardware

Not sure about the status on USB wireless devices myself. I do know a couple people that use el-cheapo wireless access points (like 30-40 USD). And a 3rd is using a more expensive Wireless-N access point.

And one friend is even using one of those ethernet through powerline adapters and it works surprisingly well. He has all the benefits of no wires (ala wireless) with the rock steady connection of wired.

One of the guys using wireless is about to ditch his wireless and give the ethernet over powerline a try as he doesn't like the random spikes he gets using a wireless connection. But on the other hand he doesn't want to route an ethernet cord from his X360 to his router.
