Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain & Ground Zeroes

I think it's basically the same rendering features on both platforms, but the content and precision is scaled up for nextgen performance levels.

Yes, quite clearly.

What I thought was interesting was that Kojima thought his work was pretty good, until he saw The Division. He literally said that he felt he needed to do better after having seen that game.

The GI was impressive, but there only seems to be one light source, that is the sun. There also seems to be some indirect shadows. (doesn't work without the GI i.e. Only works during the day)
The ground textures however, were a bit bad looking, there were also a lack of polygons (Not on the character models though).

I noticed that in this scene:

Any other instances?

I am not exactly surprised that there will be UGC in MGS V but it's a welcome addition nonetheless.
Kojima it's anyway taking too much time to make one dang game.

Ground Zeroes will be small-scale introduction to the big open world of "The Phantom Pain". UI is very minimized, lens flares in the light sources signify the awareness of the enemies, damage is represented by blood/interference of the screen, its not clear if health is regenerative [guy who played game was bad, and kojima mentioned "Snake will die" and then his health recovered], and when enemies spot snake he gets short time slowdown [no automatic kills, just a short slowdown]. There is no map during gameplay, but we can mark enemies via binoculars [like in BF3].

Here is the clear example of that time slowdown during E3 trailer:

Nice tactical use for slowdown.

I am all for minimal/no HUD so I am glad to hear that MGS V will be better than MGS IV in this regard.

i just saw the most recent trailer of MGSV for the 9th time already, it's very good but something bothers me about it. you see snake strangling chico, giving diamonds to kids and then shooting them...is snake ok?

MGS5 is most likely gonna show the downfall of the Big Boss where he becomes the bad guy as we used to know him in past MGS games.
