I can tell this pisses you off, on the count the theory hits a very personal note with your own agendas. Surely you can see it is quite obvious to all of us.

Certainly, some are having trouble differentiating between factual press coverage and coverage based on speculative data. Whatever press coverage occurred for XBox must have struck a particular chord in a few people, so in seeking retribution they scramble for anything resembling news and elevate it to what they think the PS3 deserves.

The Xbox 360 certainly took much more unfair negative press. The entirety of broken X360 units stories was probably mostly fabricated by message boardies in my opinion, just as reports of stuck PSP pixels were MASSIVELY overblown by message boardies.

Only lately has the PS3 begun taking some negative press.

This is all normal scuttlebutt. This type of stuff just floats around for all consoles. Oh no Revolution is..way weaker than thought. Etc.

Look the PS3 is gonna be 299, 399, or 499. All this does is increase the chances it's 499. But it'll probably be 399. Nothing much changes because of some report. It's just another possibly false thing to take into consideration.
