List of games by framerate ?

Well during the firefights in R&C there does feel to be a difference in input commands than the exploring or platforming elements. Whether these firefights be large/massive or simply smaller encounters. Although, Im not trying to state that R&C has framerate issues in any way, but Im not sure I believe its running at 60fps 95 percent of the time. The experience reminds me more so of pc gaming with a high but unsteady framerate than it does the typical console experience of a usually steady 30.

I havent noticed the exact same issues with COD4 as it always feels smooth regardless, but like other titles (Bioshock on 360) I think it is using a switch.

I find that I have an easier time estimating framerate by "feel" much more so than "visually". But these are just personal experiences/opinions and I could be wrong.

I have to agree, both visually and by feeling it can be seen/sensed. Slower input response, slower 'game speed' movement.

Maybe it's easier to judge COD4 since you're always using the same view and you feel the smoothness when you look around and would be able to note differences better.

In anycase, the same can be done in R&C by pressing L1 to go into the "over-shoulder-view". I'm not quite sure what you're refering to about the framerate (or perceived difference) in the platforming and firefight elements - as the game IMO does an excellent job in combining these two at the same time (depending on the level). Are you judging the demo or the retail version of the game?

A good way to test this IMO, is by using the right analog stick in R&C - with it, you can turn the camera's position behind Ratchet - it's something I do quite often, as I usually control the direction and do the aiming with it. By using it that way, it's easier to see framerate drops as a lot is moving and not just Ratchet on the screen. At no point, does the game suddenly feel different (in my case)... I really haven't experienced what you are suggesting.

Are you playing it on SD or HD? 720p? (Some games run worse on SD than HD)

Im playing in HD and I have played through the retail version in its entirety once and partially played a second time. I usually use the "over the shoulder" view during fire fights as I have a hard time hitting anything other wise (LOL).

 woah! You should just try striving by pressing down L2 and then get close enough until auto-aim kicks in. Then use the right analog stick to move left and right to evade shots. It's so much easier, more effective and fun to play...

games@60fps

Hi
I'm interested in a list with 3d console games that run at constant 60fps
Anyone knows something like this, if no, it would be nice to compile such a list

you can find a fair bit of info in the upscaling thread. Here. If you are inclined to start compiling one.

Most 3d fighting games worth their salt run at a contant 60 frames per second.
Outside of fighting games at contant 60 frames per second aren't too common. Expecially this gen.

Burnout Paradise (demo), Ratchet & Clank, Forza 2, and all things GT (GT:HD, GT5 Prologue, etc.) are the ones I can confirm from the top of my head. I think some of the NBA games as well. Some more sports-games like Madden on the 360 also, and FIFA on both.

Many PSN titles are 60fps also though. I think among those again from the top of my head, Blast Factor, Tekken 5: DR and Super Stardust

I think there's more than some people give this gen credit for. ;)

GT HD has 60fps in the replays?i don't have the game
i remember rallysport challenge2 from xbox1 having 60 fps in game but 30@replays, but strangely when you saved the replay and than later loading it it would run @60fps with vsync problems
also i read that gt prologue runs the replays only@30fps, is this true?

anyone knows if richardburns rally on the ps2 is 60fps?
another question related to GT5P, does the Eiger Nordwand stage look identical to the version from gthd, i ask this because i remember clearly that the NewYork stage from GT4P had better textures than GT4 final but then again had some vsync problems in the replay, so they probably lowerd the detail in gt4 to compesate this

First of all i think constant 60fps is rare but some games are very close to that with some small barely noticeable drops.
This is what i can remember right now please correct me if i'm wrong.
I'll update this list when i can test the games that i haven't played in a while, I don't have all of this games some i never had or played, but learned from acredible sources that they are 60fps hopefuly i didn't make any mistake.

The X-Box version of MGS2 has slowdown in several parts of the game, particularly on the outdoors portions of the Tanker.
