Sadly, no fxaa
it would have helped in the absence of mo-blur. the new bloom and reflections are nice though.:smile2: anyways it's 4x for the garage shots and 2xaa for the gameplay shots.

was scanning through some previous ffxiii-2 shots when i stumbled across just one shot which somewhat stood out from the others.

the hair looks like this could be of the 360 build. it seems to stand out from the other shots with hair in view.

pretty sure JC said no AA at all to maintain the 60 fps,, Jaggy might be due to the dynamic resolution kicks in. The lighting seems kind of odd when I watch those gameplay video out there, especially when it does into dark/ shaded area. I think the megatexture tech cant support dynamic lights or HDR right?

Lack of dynamic lights or HDR would have little or nothing to do with megatextures/virtual textures. If they are missing, it's much more likely because of their 60fps target. Most 60fps games (like the Call of Duty games) make similar sacrifices.

120 shots of Rage.:devilish:

360 version

looks a bit jagged in some spots but smooth in others....fxaa?.:smile2:
the lighting looks very good.

Carmack said no AA on console versions so maybe the more aliased shots are maybe due to the resolution dropping as the game has dynamic resolution ala Wipeout HD to maintain the 60fps...either way I'm sure the game in motion will look much clearer - I can't exactly explain it (well sure its has double the refresh rate) but most of the time 60fps really helps the IQ. :p

That site has very low quality captures, thats the reason it looks a bit "muddy", same was with Gears 3. There sure will be aliasing since there is no AA, but it will be sharper than this.

Seems like Hot Lap Mode has high LOD models and more importantly... 4XMSAA...

EDIT: Yes NeoGAF readers... Forza maintains 4XMSAA & High LOD models in hot lap mode. 2XMSAA for normal racing modes.

IIRC, FXAA has issues with near-axis angles. Yeah, looks like a dither pattern in the hair there.

Heh, that floor tile looks straight out of Max Payne 2.

Then all of those people complaining that this one bears no resemblance to the early titles should stop complaining ;)
