Image Quality and Framebuffer Analysis for Available/release build Games *Read the first post*

So it's been confirmed PS3's DOA5 is 720p all the time?

No comparable situations captured so far. Both look 720p during regular battle so far.

(Anyways, if you did have a choice, you'd go with the superior D-pad of course. ;))

No multisampling of any type what so ever on either? nothing? both versions of gameplay look a bit raw and unfinished, what did team ninja do to the engine? the shadows are also jagged, like a hacksaw in some of these pics. does Team ninja just not like Itagaki's work or do they intend to make a directors cut version of this too?

Another question:

Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection (screenshot) = 1920x1080 (no AA), not always?

Is there anyone here who woule be able to elaborate further on that "not always?" part of the quote above?

Does anyone here know what is the lowest resolution it can drop to (dynamically?)?

Maybe the pictures over there for example:

http://www.gamersyde.com/news_tekken_dark_resurrection_online_images-4733_en.html

would be useful for that?
It doesn't uses a dynamic framebuffer as far as I know.
The"not always" is because some arenas run at a lower resolution than others which run at 1080p.

As it does not appear to be listed in the "List of Rendering Resolutions", yet:

Did anyone ever check "Tekken Tag Tournament HD" as well?

Is it always full 1080p?

And what about AA?

The following pages appear to have some 1080p screenshots available:

It's missing that Team Ninja overpolish:D

why can't they just over polish the game before it's out? that way it'll look to their normal.:smile2:

The characters are good but a Dynamic resolution on top of Skimped arena's and the absence of AA filtering and shadow filtering.........
team ninja you're fired and i appoint itagaki!!

effective immediately.

WTF? Are they comparing PS3 with high-res texture pack versus Xbox 360 without hi-res texture pack installed?

At the begin they are writing the following:

NOTE: Out of the box, the Xbox 360 version requires an optional 1.7 Gig install for the High Resolution texture pack while the PlayStation 3 version was mandatory. Consequently, we decided to do our comparison considering not all Xbox 360 have the capacity to install the texture pack. Having said that, our full analysis will included the Xbox 360 High Resolution texture pack install.

;)

Might as well compare it to Low PC settings since that's optional as well.

Anyone here who would be able to figure out the native rendering resolution and AA?
As usual, their screenshots are too compressed, cropped, resized, compressed to tell much about image quality.
