It would be interesting to see what epic does with gow . Since they have been big fans of nividia .
I saw Sweeney (or was it Rein?) on G4 saying it was an X360 exclusive, and specifically noting that it won't be on PC.

Cliffy B is saying 360 exclusive and Allard is saying timed exclusive. It will probably be like Halo.

But Moore says it can be a timed exclusive a.k.a. they'll let Epic do a PC port if they want.

Why does the guy mention nVidia anyway? Is this part of the 7800 unveiling :?:

He doesnt say its Timed Exclusive, GOW is by default MS exclusive Period, and right now they are only working on the Xbox 360, but J Allard thinks that GOW should find its way to the PC because of the style of the game that also fits the PC, so after the Xbox 360 version is done they may port it for the PC.

ITs not "Timed Exclusive" in the contract, its MS itself that wants it on the PC also. (I say expect it 1 year later)

YEah i think it is. Oh and the hair....not hot at all, and looks like the guy was trying to find something to talk about Nvidia tech, the guy was like "Oh wait..the Hair, look its all Nvidia, look at the air, possible because of Nvidia  " Wth, look at the guy's air, whats so special about that? I think there should be more interesting things that the 7800 can do...

They;re not dumb, They'll wait long enough to take the incentive out of waiting for the PC version, so as to not sabotage their own XBOX sales.

Then once 12-16 months goes by they'll release it on the PC.

I wasn't too impressed with the hair either, nor the graphics as a whole. But the actual gameplay looked fun as hell.

The hair was pretty lame, although really low-res video might be why. I also laughed when he zoomed in on the armour to show the "amazing details" pretty lame if you ask me, especially for next-gen graphics.

But again, the gameplay itself looks like a blast.

I would prefer to see a Flock of Seagulls haircut rendered by NVIDIA.....more interesting then a buzzcut...

Some of us can't get enough fps heh. Funny how you never hear 'enough 3rd person already' though! ;)

Anyway, this does look pretty fun.

I think so far the game is only announced for PC and X360. Maybe it has to do with the harddrives?

It could be . I dunno .

However the ps3 hardrive may not be looking bad with some games like

elder scrolls oblivion
ff
huxley

These tittles might be enough to convice a decent amount of people to pick up the drive.

However they most likely wont port these till enough people buy the drives and thus the catch 22

Too bad Obvlivion for PS3 was canned after closed door meetings at E3. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the no HD standard announcement last month. ;)

Anyone have a link to the cancelation of it for the PS3? I remember it originated on a gaming website in France.

The sad reality is, no matter how optimistic you want to be, no dev house is going to spend the millions required to get a game up and running on a next gen system if it will only be playable by a small fraction of those who own the system.

June 02, 2005

In an interview published in the latest issue of Famitsu, Sony Computer Entertainment corporate executive and chief technical officer Masayuki Chatanai revealed his company is undecided on whether the PlayStation 3 with ship with a compact 2.5-inch hard drive.

So, exactly when did this no standard HDD in the PS3 announcement happen last month, when in June, SCEI is saying they are still undecided...?

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but Sony Online Entertainment is a dev house, are they not? The DC MMORPG they are developing has been announced for the PS3. So I guess there are some dev houses that would...(SOE is not owned in anyway by SCEI, so they're not really first party, since they are owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment)

You are kidding, right?

That would be about the same time Kutaragi said it was pointless to have a HD, because they could never supply one big enough anyways.

Which is a load of crap. Someone should tell Ken he's designing a Video Game console, not a Personal Video Recorder.

But when we first release it as a game machine, we won't need an HDD.

That still would not fit into what OpaOpa stated. (Also, it's not clear what Kutaragi was talking about in that comment)

Name me a game released or announced that has better hair than that buzzcut. You guys should really see the high res version.
