How would you react when the PSX3 spec reads 240~480 GFLOPS?

jvd, you completely reiterated my point. The people you cited as "pro-Sony" only show up to post in defense. They don't post out of the blue or make a new topic every day just to pay praise to Sony. This is unlike the opposition who have taken up a policy to ruin every existing topic and frequently post a daily topic which is derrogative of Sony/PS3 in some way. That is the essence of the problem (whether you choose to acknowledge it or not). W/o topics and posts like that, you would automatically see a reduction of Sony "defence" posts because there would be no need to defend it. Simple as that.

Being that you are only able to see the "Sony defense" posts as the "problem", that only indicates to me that your vision of a well run forum is one that openly permits Sony/PS3 bashing and has nobody whatsoever to give counterpoint. That's just sad. There's no other explanation other than that. Deny it all you wish. That's the bottomline. You would garner more integrity to just admit that is the agenda (as ugly as it is), than to explain/weezle your way out of it.

I see topics started to discuss new developments in the architectures relating to the Sony project. I've seen topics asking, "Is this possible if the Sony 1 TFLOP claim is true". I don't see topics to the effect of, "Hey, let's hear it for Sony since they will be crushing M$ and N very soon." Perhaps you feel that any topic that isn't being critical of Sony must be "praising" it? Seriously, I'm wondering what you are seeing now.

It entirely depends on how the original poster approaches the subject. If they are to go into the topic with zero tact and questionable logic, what sort of response do you really expect? I doubt a video-game-related forum can exist without the console wars figuring into it somewhere. It's just a natural part of the proceedings, especially now with speculation ramping up about the next generation.

As for people simply defending one console maker and subsequently being accused of being "pro-XYZ," I've seen it many times, on this and other boards. Unfortunately, it's true that it usually IS Sony who's taking the brunt of it, simply because they're the dominant force right now and the anti-Sony folk can't wait to see them fall.

Read the topic . Before the end of the first page it turns to that. Trust me its not just me. I'm made aware of it by pms before I'm even able to read the topic.

PS3 is not coming in 2002 or 2003. EE2 and GS2 are to be done by
then, but they'll be going into Sony's workstations, not their game
console. PS3 will be released when the EE3 and GS3 are ready, around
2005/2006.

Some gaming web sites mis-reported the availability of the EE2/GS2 in
2002 to mean that PS3 will be released then as well.

I think by 2006, Sony will deliver a PS3 with more than 1-2 PEs with 8-16
APUs.
