These captures look super clean at 4k, wonder what Guerrilla are doing with Horizon.

This level of graphics fidelity has no business being in an open world game, or any type of game period, maybe GG should downgrade it a bit so that people can rationally comprehend it:LOL:.

Are there no plans for dlc chapters etc? The devs haven't hinted on any such thing?
PSN is cheaper for this and Andromeda for me. With Andromeda it's pretty clear it will have dlc like DAI had and it's best to buy digital and keep it.
If Horizon is going to have dlc or additions over time then I would buy it from psn instead, as it's much cheaper there. But if it's a one time play , like the devs said there is no NG+ either then It would make sense to go the disc way and part with it once done.

Also, with so many ppl with copies how comes there are no leaked footages [emoji14] ? I mean youtube is usually flooded when Sony exclusives break Street date!

Saw the neogaf spoiler free thread. Let's say that's very inspiring towards getting the game :).

Especially the embargoed reviewer trying to sound negative actually said the best thing that the loop is "prepare for hunt, then hunt and then story opens up". That sounds great !

I think it's safe to assume if the game does well then we'll have a few DLC chapters maybe set in the "Old Ones" era.
Also these are just nuts, nuts I tell you!

I think dlc are planned much before as they require almost equal work. If they had any plans we would have had deluxe versions et all already on the store.
OTOH, not having any such shit on the store also means we are getting a complete game with nothing cut out to be completed and delivered later. I am happy if that is the case.

I don't understand why Guerrilla chose to show only day time in their demos. Night time looks soooo good in this game.
Probably just so people can easily see what's going on. :yep2: The review embargo lifts tomorrow morning so we'll know if there is a decent game behind the fancy visuals. Right now I'm marginally more interested in Zelda than Horizon but that could change.

Especially in Open World games outside of illuminated cities I do not like the indirect lighting in most games. Therefore I am annoyed when the sun goes down because everything looks flat when the sun or the star no longer shines. Let's see how it is here. In the screenshot above the moon still appears as a light source.

I found the indirect lighting in Wildlands better than in other recent Open World games.

Far Cry Primal had fantastic nights. i fact pretty close to the ones shown here. The nights were the reason I liked that game.
It's because it also has volumetric lighting, that's the kicker to make everything has that depth and layers. TW3 however severely lacks that and therefore looking flat quite often. Plus, the vegetation in both FCP and Horizon all look fantastic and much more so than TW3's.

saw a stream for 5 min, this one:

Guy was exploring around and it sure has the mystique and atmosphere to make you want to. I think I will get rh PSN version and hope that this one will be a keeper. open world anyways means I will never really be around to finishing it anytime soon.
