God Of War Ascension PS3

Dear god this game looks too beautiful for words, love the new lighting and ocean vista, that Kraken boss fight tease should be mind blowing I'd imagine.

Graphics look great. I like the change in the art style. God of War 1, 2 and 3 were all far too similar for my liking. This one is definitely refreshing.

infos and screens

We’ve revamped the combat and weapon system to an entirely new, yet still familiar intense action experience:

[NEW!] Tether System allows Kratos to sling enemies around the environment like a pseudo-weapon wrecking ball, augmenting his primary weapon attacks.

[NEW!] World Weapon System allows Kratos to steal enemies weapons from his enemies, acquiring powerful secondary attacks. You can pick-up/steal almost any enemy weapon!

[NEW!] Promptless Mini-Game with a new free-form attack system. When you go in for a final kill or counter, you’ll need to focus on enemies evasive and attack maneuvers in real-time instead of indicated button prompts to finish them off. Old-school button prompt indicators seen in God of War 3 will still be present during unique encounters, but for the majority of finishers you will need to rely on your guts and instinct.

[NEW!] Life Cycle Mechanic Ability (a familiar evolution from the Amulet of Fates in God of War 2 but much more advanced), allows Kratos to control the flow of time in various environments to solve puzzles, and freeze enemies during combat. Watch the single-player demo for a better illustration of this new mechanic.

God of War: Ascension will support 3D-TV, you’ll need to change your 3D glasses lens wipers quite often if you know what we mean.
You will ascend a signature God of War spiral stair case during your journey, and you may encounter a pleasurable break at some point, stay classy.
T.C. Carson reprises his role as Kratos – seriously, there isn’t a man on Earth that knows Kratos better!

This game is stunning. SSM and ND are just masters of their trade.

These games will set me up nicely for my next-gen appetite.

If the Vita gets a God of War title, which considering the PSP had two and those sold decently is not unexpected, then it will most likely be dedicated titles.

Played some more of the beta...it is astoundingly really a lot of fun. I just played Favor of the God so far. It also seems that combat is quite tacticle and deep...although it looks and feels like chaos when you play the first couple of rounds you learn pretty fast. At the end, I could even win a round.

I also have to test the second team based mode...

I liked the beta a lot. Gameplay was addicting and deep for me. Some insane rounds...with the feeling: one more round, one more round! But I had to force stop me playing the beta as I did not want to spoil me anymore...waiting for the release, collectors edition it is for me :)

Edit: not gonna watch new sp trailer! Must be strong...

Is it me or did the lighting take a hit, seems to be to much bloom and can't stand the yellowish tint to everything. Look's like that next gen filter option ND had in Uncharted...lol
