Gears of War 3: Brofisting to the End

Grey skin's still a bit weird though...

Might make some sense if she's been underground for so long. :)

The city I was thinking of was the one in Gears of War 3 where there's all the ashen corpses frozen in place. It was hammered during the pendulum wars, by the CoG, as it was an emulsion generating city in opposition hands. Anya says something about being there when order was carried out to basically destroy it and kill just about every civilian there.

Yeah, she was part of CIC even then, so she was fairly high up the chain, but nothing to do with command decisions though; early 20s for her, Marcus & Dom. Main characters are about 35 by the time of Gears 3. Jace is a bit younger if you've played the SP DLC.

I hope the next one paints a better picture of things from the other side.

Hopefully some locust-human hybrids survived, and they team up with some Stranded, and then the Arbiter joins them, and they bring about some kind of justice for all.
Yeah, I guess we'll see how they approach that... Adam's WMD/Halo was quite over-the-top, but then I guess that's Gears for you. GIANT WORM.

All dat juice is a tad curious as well.

It would be good fun to play as the resistance against the CoG.

mm... not much left of civilization. I suppose there's the UIR (the guys Baird and company found and brought to help later in the game). COG was essentially defunct after Prescott died. 99% of the world population was already wiped out.

With imulsion all gone, they'll all have to rely on primitive fuel resources, which were already in decline by the time imulsion was discovered I think. Everyone on Sera seems a bit screwed.

Not played the SP DLC. Don't think I could take the additional depression just yet!

A giant worm that can move though solid rock at high speed! Got to admit, when I hit that point in Gears 2 I laughed as I realised that they really simply honestly just didn't give a fuck about absurdity levels. They had consciously decided to go all the way. And then beyond.

I kind of respect that...

Yeah, it's looking grim. Orbital solar collectors beaming energy to the surface? Based on Hammer on Dawn technology?

I've been thinking about this (rather too much) and I'd like the story to be that that Adam saved a handful of Locust that had treated him ok by protecting them from the Halo energy field. He never wanted to commit genocide after all - infact it was a huge regret of his. And he'd kept it secret because he knew that everyone else did want to.

So now you get to play as survivor locust, Baird (because he's not a mindless h8er), and Cole (because nothing stops the Cole Train, and if you played against Cole you'd have to stop him, and that wouldn't be right).

You also get to play as Survivor Carmine, who can not be stopped either.

Gotta love Ben Carmine's choice of cover during that scene. ;)

mm... that'd be neat. I guess the problem at the moment would be communicating with the satellites, though I suppose Baird could come up with something, as usual.

I was reaaaally hoping for a Carmine spin-off just to go search for the 4th brother. :D
