Gamecube VGA cable?

The other day I got a hankering to play "The Twilight Princess" again but I don't own an HDTV, and to be frank, it looks rather silly on my 13 inch Sony non HD television that's probably intended to be tucked away snugly in some cabinet meant for kitchen viewing. Then I got around to thinking, I have my 360 hooked up to my computer monitor via a VGA cable, perhaps they make a VGA cable for GC as well..... Do they?

Look for a site called golden shop uk or something like it. Doing a search on your thread title will easily take you to a place that sells a vga cable. Note that unless your monitor supports a 15hz signal you can only play progressive scan games.

Barely any monitors support a 15hz signal and support a 30hz signal on top of that.

I have one of those vga cables, works fairly well.

You never know though gamesx can easily point you in the direction if you actually want to go hunting. For the record I'm referring to horizontal not vertical if he has a crt he's in good luck.

Sounds like the interlaced mode is poor quality though and only for setting up game settings.

piss poor I dumped that for a vdigi box and get a good scaler if you want to pay some money. If not get a tv tuner that does svideo as that and dscaler is quite good.

Most worthwhile gamecube games support progressive scan (and thus the vga cable) anyway, so there's not too much to worry about. Zelda definitely does, it that's all he wants to play.

Today I got a chance to play FZeroGX using the VGA cable with a 42" direct view Olevia 1366x768 LCD and the results were awesome. It's pretty amazing what kind of picture noname brand LCDs could deliver for only $900. DVD movies looked really good too. My friend bought the LCD online free shipping no tax.
