Full Auto 2: Battlelines Interview

I'm pretty sure he says exclusive.
"Sonic and Full Auto will be PS3 exclusives, but after a certain time they will be spread to the Xbox 360."

AFAIK Sonic is coming out on 360 the same day. Maybe I'm mistaken?

No that's just a paraphrase, the original quote is on gamedaily.biz, follow the link at the bottom of the article.

We've got Sonic the Hedgehog in its original naming convention shipping on the PS3; and of course it'll be on the [Xbox] 360 as well, but it'll be a launch title for the PS3.

I see, a misunderstanding on QJ.net's part then.

The recent news coverage is definately making the game a little more interesting. Seems they are fixing and adding nice things here and there. But I think I'd rather wait for reviews before taking any chance at launch. Fatal Inertia looks more interesting to me IMO, and if they fix the sense of speed, It should be great until Wipeout ever decides to show its next gen face. I certainly hope both "battle racer" types turn up being good games come November.

This does not look better than part 1 and it's shocking. textures are seriously downgraded.

AF is completely non-existent. Are we looking at the same pics? For this to come out a year later on arguable more powerful hardware and look like this is unacceptable and they will not be getting my money.

To refresh people's memory (X360) shots:

I dunno, I had fun playing it on the devkits at the Sega booth @E3... It ran quite smoothly too.
It was the only PS3 game that had an open station when I passed by it, so I got to play it too. There were a lot of clipping issues, but it wasn't bad. It was in deathmatch mode and felt more like Quake than Twisted Metal.

I was really excited to own Full Auto after seeing the devs show it on G4 at E305 and promise that the final game would be locked at 60fps. The guy made a big deal about how he believes all racing games should be at least 60fps, and he had my support all the way, and then they broke their promise and made me not care enough to drop even $40 on the game.

I'm pretty sure he says exclusive.

And that was the only 360 game I got to play at E3. The controls sucked, and I'd rather they scrapped it for both consoles and went with a graphically upgraded Sonic Wildfire-type game for the PS3 only.

If the textures were "seriously" downgraded dont you think it would of been pointed out in the previews

Well, it does look somewhat like the 360 version but the look is somewhat more realistic. I'm sure this won't be one of the best car games for the PS3 but don't forget that what we see here doesn't represent the final product.

FA2 alpha ran much smoother at E3 than the FA1 final build on the 360.
To address your point: None of the "improvements" your quote sites are things I was complaining about so what was the point in posting it? And it's just your typical PR speak for a new game coming out anyway.

Note the textures are seriously low-res and blurry. Note no AF. Note lighting looks inferior (from these particular pics and the trailer). The cars look to be less complex and lacking in reflections. Everything just looks dull. Note this is coming out a year after FA1.

I will be picking up a PS3 at launch and really liked FA for the 360 but this iteration on the PS3 is nothing but a huge disappointment for someone who's played FA on the 360. I was expecting much more.

Edit: And just so people know I am in no way trying to fault the PS3 for this. This is a slight against lazy developers.

"The framerate is running much better than in the Xbox 360 original too;

the time it launches."

So if its had a downgrade, EVERY person who played the game at E3 and EVERY site who has previewed the game have "Forgotten" to mension it?

I find it hilarious how seriously some of you are taking this. Roll your eyes, get mad. It doesn't bother me any. I'm only judging from the screens and the trailer that were just posted. And I've went as far as posting FA1 screens to prove my point. So whatever. Maybe these are just unflattering shots or a dull course. We'll see.

I don't know what fantasy game that IGN editor played, but FA2 dev was telling me at E3 that the game was running around 30fps for the time being like I suspected after playing it a bit. It certainly was not running anywhere near 60fps.

big deal

they've had nearly a year to improve this game from the X360 version. they had better make it run/look better with that much time.
