Formula 1 - 2008 Season

I expect all Ferrari and McLaren, Maybe Kubica creeps into 3rd or 2nd if a driver makes a mistake.

I guess now they have to make sure they don't move there isn't the same advantage.

Any more questions about Hamilton being the rain master by the way Hamilton haters?

I'm still somewhat astonished that being in Canada I have no way of watching the Canadian Grand Prix Qualifying live!

Thanks to the stupid rights over here, Speed can't cover it (as they would all GP's in other countries) and TSN put the Euro 2008 (!) post-game and pre-game on both the standard and HD channels, shunting the qualifying to "TSN Alternate feed" which my cable provider doesn't carry.

Thanks a bunch TSN. "Canada's Sports Leader". Indeed. :devilish:

Just pray they don't cut out half way through the race to show cup stacking.

What a great qualifier. This was fun. The track, however, is in bad shape and they are resurfacing the hairpin.

This is shaping up to be a great race.

Indeed, it was pure roulette on the top dogs, Kimi was 0.2sec ahead of Hamilton on the first 2 parts of the lap, but on the third he lost 0.5 sec or something due that hairpin, both Kimi and Alonso said that it's terrible, it's all about luck (how the rubble will be after the one who went there just before you) and people will have problems staying on track there

If you were watching the sector times throughout the session (which I was forced to - see post above - thanks again TSN! :devilish: ) you'd have seen that the Ferrari's loosing time in that sector relative to Hamilton was consistent throughout the session.

Sunday weather update - rain still possible for Canada

Welcome to race day for the Canadian Grand Prix at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on Montreal’s Ile Notre Dame.

Yet again the forecast says there will be thunderstorms in the region all day, with an ambient temperature high of 30 degrees Celsius, but it is currently overcast but dry and as yesterday it remains to be seen whether the bad weather actually arrives.

The race, which will run over 70 laps or 305.270 kilometres (189.694 miles), will start at 1300 hours local time, four hours behind GMT.

Funny how he turned left to ram Kimis ass instead of Kubica's, must have been accident

edit:
On completely different matter, looks like Nelson "Pirouette" Piquet just decided it's time for him to quit F1 for good

Apparently from ITV's interview with Hamilton:
"If I wrecked Kimi's race, I'm sorry, but I was fast, leading the race"

I mean, WTF? Last time I checked you can't ram your car to 2nd or 3rd place drivers ass if you're leading the race. What was his position before they came to pits is irrelevant, after pits he was 3rd.

Not to mention these idiotic bias commentators bitching about the rules and blaming the stewards instead of their golden boy.

Hamilton did WHAT now?

I think it was yesterday when Hamilton said in an interview that he doesn't feel like he is a rookie anymore, rather he is a veteral really...

Clearly he was reacting to try and give some more room to brake (even though it was late by that time). The lights being on didn't just catch him out either.

Quick turns + braking = not good, locks the wheels VERY easily and thus lenghtens the breaking distance, every driver should know that
I haven't heard or read about this personally, but apparently Hamilton said now to british media (ITV?) that he did see the red lights but didn't stop
