Formula 1 - 2008 Season

Just like last season :D Ron never was the biggest of friends with montoya either. I think its naive to think mclaren always treats their drivers equally. Even without the personal vendetta's if the moment comes 1 driver will need the points to win the WDC you can bet on it he will get them. Fair is more like ''fair''.

oh yes if one driver has chance and the other has zero chance then he will have to help, but only when 1 driver cant win the championship

This is just getting ridicilous in Finland.
Last season, they introduced F1's only on MTV3 Max channel, which costs you extra (and gives you bunch of other useless channels with it to "justify" the costs)
This season, same continues, but that has been ok'ish, since we still had our webstreams via TVU & SopCast etc, but recently, at least during last race if not the one before it too, those channels on TVU & SopCast broadcasting the F1 races have disappeared JUST before the race starts.
So now we have option to either pay extra each month to get the channel with F1 (and bunch of other channels to "justify" the costs), or watch the races later on free (excluding the general "TV licence" which is also just plain and simple ridicilous concept to finance YLE which offers most TV-watchers nothing, but which you can't get rid of either) MTV3 channel, with parts of the race cut out

So apparently Kovalainen had about 20 kilograms more fuel in the start than Hamilton. And yet Heikki outqualified Lewis. I don't think people fully understand Heikki's potential yet. 20 kilograms of fuel would translate to roughly 0.8 seconds in a qualifying lap... or ten more laps on track after the other guy has pitted in.

I think Kovy did a great job in Turkey, too bad the incident with Kimi messed things up.
Kovy made some mistakes, but he made up for them with some great overtaking maneuvers.

Anyway, I listened to Renault's podcast and they were very cavalier and saying that they would definitely be faster than BMW in Monte Carlo. I hope they are right. :)

And I hope Nelsinho will stop making so many mistakes, he made some great overtaking moves in Turkey, but he also made too many mistakes.

Any ideas what might have happened to Kovalainen during the start, before the incident with Kimi? To me it seemed like he accelerated just fine on 1st gear, but then it almost seemed as if he went directly from 1st to 3rd gear or something, that's how fast he started dropping relative to others near him... or was that just the car being heavy?

Piquet to be replaced by Sato at Renault?

http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/16052008/23/piquet-replaced-sato-renault.html

Hah! Awesome, I like Sato. He's crazy. :) I wonder if Alonso will forgive Sato for overtaking him in Canada last year in a much slower car.

Anyway, I think Piquet shouldn't be thrown out yet, because he has shown some good stuff despite all the mistakes. Remember, Kovy needed time to get in the groove at Renault too.

Looking forward to the Monaco GP this weekend. McLaren looks fast, but Williams is also up there, for some reason.

There seems to be a chance for rain, and that would be AWESOME. Tight tracks, rain and no TC/engine braking = HAVOC.

Exciting quali, if Massa can keep this up he may be WC material yet!

Not really a Massa fan but I have to give him credit. He seems to be kickin ass and taking names. If he wins Monaco I expect his confidence to shoot through the roof and make him even faster.
