First Ghost Recon: Advance Warfighter Single Player Footage (X360)

OT. I love the 1UP show. I would pay subscription to watch the 1UP show.

When you are trying to convey aspects of video gaming, it has to be on video. The days of reading about video games are comming to a close. I expect these kinds of video magazines will replace online mags the way online replaced print.

Have they turned on vsync in this video or is there still tearing?

Tearing is still there, although very minimal. The only time I saw significant tearing was during the helicopter scene (which the game is actually loading the next level while you fly around). You should watch the video and check it out.

Downloading now...

I wonder why they arent using vsync. I dont see any reason to leave it 'off' at this point unless there is some techincal reason for it (higher framerate)? That would be bad, and i'm wondering if thats the case given this is the second high-profile title with it 'off.'

well, they still have at least another month of dev time (this thing is supposed to hit end of march iirc, so that's 2 months away)

perhaps the small v sync issues will be ironed out during that time.

downloading it now anyway.... sounds good!

It looks pretty dang good, and the mp looks pretty dang fun. Never was a fan of tom clancy games, but this does indeed look like fun. I might have to pick this title up... *cough* ...on the pc.

Enchant Arm on the other hand, didnt look so spiffy.

PC is getting a completely seperate version with (non)next-gen assets. But suit yourself ;)

How does that work? I always thought PCs were "gen-agnostic", so to speak.

Yeah I'm applying console terminology to emphasize a point. GRAW 360 is "next gen" to me, the PC version which still looks good doesn't compare and looks a bit rough. The PC version is based off the Xbox version from my understanding. Check out these screens:

If you notice you see the gun in first person. 360 is getting a seperate version from Xbox/PC.
