COD is a quite unique phenomenon which no-one really, fully understands, IMHO.
Still, there is a lot of criticism around the net and mostly in the hc gamer community already, but so far sales are obviously getting stronger.

Yeah that's part of the seeming disconnect between "forums" and "reality". If you go on most related youtube videos people will be trashing COD right and left in the comments. Yet in reality somehow Black Ops sold more than ever.

Funny thing is despite never having played any COD games I always recommend those games when people ask me what fun online FPS they should try.

"forums" are totally distort than reality, forums represent the "Vocal minority" and each site got his "color" of opinion, so it's like press if you want to be close to truth, you need to read one of each opinion… It's feasible for press, need time, but for the Web… Damn need one trillion of lives!
