I don't think people really know how dirty their electronics are.

We are seeing a lot of pictures of PS3s looking a bit manky, sure, but let's not forget that we're looking at pics of PS3 much more closely than other equipment.

As an example, i took the liberty to show how dirty everything else gets.

Something doesn't need to be shiny to look dirty, usually it just needs to be looked at closely and with a nice flash like we seem to be doing a lot with PS3.

Not trying to defend the shinyness, it WILL be a pain to clean, but i'm just trying to put things into perspective. Our stuff is much dirtier than we think it is.

It shows red button on SIXAXIS, talks about BC, internet connectivity, media entertaiment and a short comment on PSP:

One that no longer binds you to your home.
Are they saying that there will be connectivity via internet? This is new to me...

It has been said a while back from Sony people that you could access your PS3 over the net through your psp. Im sure there will be a firmware upgrade on the week of the 17th.

So true. This is why I try and buy my electronics in a grey/silver white-ish colour. You can't see the dust unless you really get up close.

Hey hey hey no poking fun!! That was just accumulated dust for a few days... But you get my point with the pictures... When you look for it, dirt is very evident. It's just more evident on shiny black plastic.

Well, I'm back from another exhausting day of digital life, I'm sorry to report that I don't have much news with all the gaming tournaments that I had to participate in, but all is not lost. I will be there dedicating my time to you guys and this forum.

I was wrong about the report yesterday about resistance being the only game playable. The basketball game (still didn't get the name) was also playable on another side of the booth that I didn't notice. One thing I did notice, was that resistance was silky smooth and without a hiccup. The basketball game on the other hand had a slight framerate drop everytime the opposing team got the ball and the camera had to switch perspective to view the other side of the court.

That's all for today. Expect videos and pics tomorrow. (Got a 1 gig card for the camera.)

Got some more pics and I got pictures of the "first working hd-dvd drive shown to the public" for the xbox 360. Only problem is that my USB cable for my camera just died on me. So I'll post when I get another one tomorrow.

These are copied and pasted from another forum post I made. But here you go my digital life impressions:

    My impressions:

Digital Life was awesome this year. Much better than last year.

You forgot 1 pc game in your review. HellGate London in all its awesomeness. Wonderful play experience. Sort of has a Guild Wars/WOW skill bar at the bottom that you use for different spells. One of them morphed me into a TRON glowing looking creature. Really fun and great looking game.

360 was in full effect this year. Lots of playable games including 1 station with Ninety Nine Nights. I don't have a 360 but this game looked really great.

Wii I really enjoyed Madden. I thought it was a blast. Looked bad though because I guarantee they were NOT using Progessive scan or maybe not even Component cables. Even my PS2 with progressive scan looks light years better than the grainy picture they had. I am a videophile when it comes to TV. Trust me on this.

Say Resistance and thought it was COD. Looked like COD to me. Though one thing i definately noticed or should I say didnt notice was NO slowdown at all. Smooth the entire time. Think Call Of Duty during itense scenes with smooth framerate the entire time. (I am coming from PC FPS gaming so i have been looking at HL2 and Fear forever. Basically it looked like those games but on a system that costs only 600 instead of a videocard that costs 600). Def looking like a good launch game.

NBA 07 was there. It wasnt LIVE or Sega 2k basketball. It was NBA 07 the life(whatever the other basketball game is). It looked bleh meh to me. Very waxy looking. Lets put it this way the 360 Demo of NBZ 2k7 blew this away. They should have shown one of the 2 better basketball games, im sure the ps3 would have really shined then.

Vista was at the show in full force.

Ageia was at the show running on Alienware systems. And the Dell XPS was there. Awesome system!

4 NETS cheerleaders were there as well as Jay from Jay and Silent Bob fame.

Robert Patrick Roger and Jim of DL.tv fame were there.

Gametap is really cool. I am thinking of buying this for my nephew.

In all I am impressed with the feel of the Wii controller and PC Gaming. Wow so many great PC gaming titles are coming.

By the way the PS3 looked really nice. Very shiny and beautiful. The pics dont do it justice. It will look nice in anyones AV rack or display.

I keep forgetting about HellGate London!

It's one of the only PC games left that I am looking forward to.
