Well I just came back from digital life and to my surprise they have resistance playable and also madden for the wii (At first glance, I thought the wii was an exposed cdrom drive for a computer. It's THAT small!). I'll be able to take pics/vids and if you guys want me to ask anyone any questions just put it in this thread.
 
Pictures would be appreciated. Was resistance the only game there for ps3? Did they show off the ps3 interface at all? (if they did show the OS, i have some questions about video playback)

They had demo reels of Lair, heavenly sword, motorstorom, and warhawk on this HUGE 1080p screen. They also had a basketball game there. Claimed to be running in 1080p Nobody could play it though. Resistance was the only playable game. They didn't show off the interface and I don't think they're going to do a presentation......but I could ask.

Thats cool. Guess will have to wait a while for more clear details.

Well, I thought it would have more color. It pretty much looks like the screenshots from what I could tell. It still looked good. What impressed me the most was how BIG the levels felt. Mostly because the level that I played had tallk buildings and like 10 npc running around. Makes me feel like a small part of battle. :(
P.S. here are some pics...I don't know how to post thumbnails like the rules say(maybe someone can do it for me?) So I jut have links. The wii pics are also in there. The EA one had a green face and the one on display had a white face. Didn't know the faces were changeble.

the ps3 design simply sucks.. every picture of it in reallife just shows how hell it will be to get clean. and it looks reaaally fat. i prefer the ps2 design by much.

well, design wise, wii is the winner for me. ps3 and xbox360 are both just huge bricks..

anyways, can't wait till the things are out, to get my hands on them and have some fun. i'll buy wii for at the club, will get some fun playing with other guests there, hehe.

PS3 is almost certain to get a smaller version down the road. Just like PSOne and PSTwo. I wouldn't be surprised of MS did a smaller xbox360 form factor down the road as well.

PS3 review models are always dirty because there are so many people dying to touch them and pick them up etc. When you have your own it shouldn't be a problem.
 
Photographing with a flash always brings out the dust and fingerprints more than what you'd see in real life.
If you keep your PS3 away from direct hard light, like sunlight, it'll look ok even if a bit dusty and fingerprinty :D
But I agree, the look of PS3 does seem to suffer a lot if it's not handled like your prescioussss.

 
well, it has to be handled like your precious anyways, because it is. i mean, you have payed a lot of money for it.

but still i think it's a design fault to not make a surface that is robust and save for living room and children-hand usage. something that doesn't get that simple dirty and 'ugly' would make more sense. this is the first time actually something gets that dirty on about every pict. i mean, who doesn't touch the wii there, too? but it doesn't look dirty at all.

and besides the material, i think the design stinks, as it looks very fat, not slick at all. yeah, there'll be a smaller version, but well..

i think it would be cool for some olympic stadion, the design. but not for a console.. but thats just my opinion. can't wait till they all get out so i can .. make them all dirty.. :D but i won't buy a ps3, no money for that :( (and no use, i don't even have a tv.. let alone a hdtv.. :))

Wow that Wii faceplate changing is a blatent ripoff of 360. Looks cool though.

Nah, they have to leave some room for improvement so that they can produce a Wii 'Lite' later. ;)

The Wii doesn't have changeable faceplates. It'll be available in white only.

GODS... The people pre-ordering aren't pre-ordering to play SPECS, they want to play GAMES. :rolleyes: Like anyone in their right mind would go like, "no way I'm pre-ordering this! It can only do 32 MADDs per cycle and not 36 like I was lead to believe!"... Sheesh.
