L.A Norie was also better on the PS3 according to the DF analysis.

IMO Skyrim was better on PS3 too (this may provoke some people), they both run with the same textures, resolution, effects but PS3 version was also v-synced and IMO had better AA impemented. The AA solution on the 360 was kind of broken as there where only some parts of the screen that was anti-aliased, weapons, trees, foliage etc. didn't have any AA at all.

Yet both games play best on PC^^

I used to get worked up by the comparisons (PS3 only guy, with a tendency to overanalyze stuff), but I've come to the conclusion that... I simply don't care^ I play all games , which are available on PC, on my PC anyways... and by todays standards, thats most console games which aren't made by MS or Sony anyways... (with MS even less so)

Which is irrelevant for those people looking to choose between a console game on either console.

Isn't the purpose of this thread to discuss the differences and content of DF articles? What you do and where you play your games isn't important here.

IF all PC's were created equal. ;) Because neither my desktop nor my laptop, which are both half the age of my PS3 or less, can play any multiplatform game better or even equally.

It really wasn't. Aside from being broken and gradually slowing to a crawl, the frame rate wasn't nearly as consistent as in the Xbox version. It was also a tad blurry.

Swapped PS3 Skyrim for 360 and it was a significantly smoother experience. Tearing wasn't a big deal because it's a consistent 30fps for the most part.

Than you obviously didn't intend to play any games at all on your pc so thats not a really fair comparison. You can buy a sub 100 euro gfx card, stick it in any half decent system from the last couple of years and end up with the same or better performance than a console.

So basically as a side-by-side cost/performance comparison, consoles win by a country mile?

Gotcha ;-)

Yeah, my mistake was buying a small form case. I can only put in low-profile cards. I tried upgrading it, to a 5570 a while ago, but it didn't help enough.

I guess nobody catched the "^^" in my last post... It was meant as a joke (well, it IS true, but, in the US at least, PC gaming is quite dead... Germany though is a different piece altogether in that regard).

Be that as it may... I think with Steam and the other services, PC gaming got a lot better. Not that I like the DRM etc. in those systems, but it's still much better than what consoles offer (I.e. I can install my Steam games on a virtually unlimited number of systems (some games don't allow that, though)).

Much like how a Fiat Punto obliterates a Bugatti Veyron in a side by side cost/performance comparison. :devilish:

But good luck making a profit on big budget games with a 49 user install-base ... :devilish: Though fair enough, that installbase may be up for paying a premium of, say, 100,000 to 1,000,000 per game :p

So it is better if you ignore the fact it became unplayable after a few hours (and took them 3 months to fix) and that it looked worse on the PS3.

Cosidering how fallout 3 is turned out on the ps3, skyrim afterpatch it's a miracle from my point of view.
